A Hackney Wick hangout from DIY party collective The Cause. I love that this cafe is nestled in with other food places, an upstairs bar and a record shop.

I only stopped in for a coffee and cake. I was warmly greeted and ordered the peanut butter caramel latte (it's as good as it sounds) and the mocha cake. 100/10.

Also green flags for being dog friendly. I can't wait to come back for lunch!

Great place with an amazing view to the river. I love their seitan bacon sandwich and matcha latte. Portions are really big and affordable.

Great vegan options. Good to sit on the terrace overlooking Stratford and the Olympic park.

The cheese manakish, musakhan, and spinach pies were absolutely incredible. The owner manages the restaurant himself, and the location is just perfect. I truly congratulate him and wish him even more success and new branches in the future.

You can actually ask them to make the pastries in a small size for takeaway — they were absolutely delicious, arrived hot and fresh, and perfectly clean. Truly amazing!

Arches Cafe

A proper British caff! Tucked away, as the name would suggest, in the Arches of the overground bridge just a short walk from Bethnal Green station. The food was excellent and easy to order as you’d hope. The service was warm and friendly, I believe it’s a family business, which is always great to see too. I enjoyed the old school 4 seater tables and the brickwork interior is a nice touch, but the thing that really makes the places charm is the quiet rumble of the trains passing overhead! I will definitely be back, and bringing friends.

Kind service in a place with great atmosphere under the railtracks. Food was really good, but not outstanding. Chips could be a bit crunchier, green peas could be more moised or steamed. But those are details, after all we were really satisfied with a great breakfast experience. 5*

Arches Cafe may look modest, but it delivers warmth, flavour, and a slice of East London charm. A lovely surprise — and one we’d happily repeat.

Delicious Vegan Scandinavian in London!
I had a lovely experience at DAUNS – such a cozy little restaurant with a warm atmosphere. The sourdough and toast were exceptional – probably some of the best I’ve had in London. The chef was incredibly kind and even came out to serve the food himself, which made it feel really personal and special.

There were so many great options on the menu. I especially enjoyed the pickled dishes and the vegan cheese – full of flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant is also located near a nice market area, perfect for a stroll after your meal. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys good bread, thoughtful dishes, and a welcoming vibe.

We were on the hunt for some plant based cafes and tried this spot for breakfast today and really enjoyed it! We had scrambled tofu with seitan sausage, it was delicious with so many flavours, it’s the nicest scrambled tofu we have had! We will definitely come back again

Such a lovely little place! I've visited a few times now and it has become a regular spot for me when I visit London. The food is fresh and delicious, staff are friendly and it has a lovely warm atmosphere. Plus the cinnamon buns remind me of trips I took as a child to Sweden! UK cinnamon buns can't even begin to compare

Really fantastic cafe with a great menu of totally plant based vegan food. I had the beetroot salad with meatballs and a sparkling rhubarb drink - my daughter had the ‘ham’ and Brie toastie and then a brownie. Unbelievably delicious and frankly ridiculously cheap.  Very relaxed vibes and you can buy a few cheeses and other vegan goodies too. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We've had spicy food in Southern California, but in comparison to how it was here, what we had before was toned down. There's no holding back at this restaurant.

I wondered why the portions seemed small and just contributed it to European culture until I realized the food is so spicy that we could only eat so much in one sitting.

The servers were friendly enough, although I wish they had left the pitcher of water on our table instead of us waiting for them to refill our cups. Better yet, milk might have been better.

As for the restaurant itself, it's a mix of retro and modern.

The bathrooms were really retro, like the toilets had the pull chain and the sink had the 2 different faucets for hot and cold.

It's a nice restaurant, just know that eating the food here is like being on an episode of "Hot Ones".

Just love Dishroom. A chain overall the London, but consistent good quality food, great service, and beautiful ambiance. We tried what the waiter recommended. The are all good. Even the dessert - rice pudding is good not so sweet. This place is definitely one of the best restaurants in London.

Such an amazing atmosphere! The wait for a walk-in for 2 Monday at 6PM was an hour. We had the option of waiting at the bar so we ordered a drink and were able to sit and wait.

Once seated, we were there for about an hour. The food came out fast, but we ended up waiting for our check for about 15 minutes.

The food was great, but honeslty the Chicken Ruby was too sweet for my liking.

They also charged us for our anniversary cake/ice cream that we didn't order and assuming was a gift. Im sure it was a mistake they would have corrected if we mentioned it, but we were both so jet lagged we just wanted to go back to our hotel after waiting for the check.

Ruth and Beth are such lovely people and made the place very welcoming. The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is amazing. They allowed my dog (outside seating) and everyone was so sweet towards him! I really like that the restaurant is sustainable and generous.

This food was absolutely delicious. The dishes were some of the best vegetable focused (rather than imitation meat) dishes I’ve had and is probably one of my favourite vegan restaurants I’ve been to in London.

The staff were incredibly friendly and the interior was nice. Their chai latte was also great which is hard to find in London.

Would highly recommend.

I must admit that when I saw how quiet KIN was compared to the other restaurants nearby, I regretted my reservation. However I definitely should not have. My starter (house style aubergine) was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant, and the others in my group also thoroughly enjoyed theirs (croquettes and corn soup). The service was extremely understanding and helpful when I told them about my nut allergy and brought me a different menu. For my main I chose the truffle rosso pasta due to my allergy. The sauce was quite nice - my complaint would be that the pasta was slightly too soft and was falling apart which was likely due to its being gluten free so I understand that was probably unavoidable. The portions were huge so unfortunately I had no space for dessert, but my companions said the black forest tart was fantastic. Highly recommend KIN; favourite dishes were the aubergine and corn soup small plates.

Food was intentionally cooked delicious and not greasy at ALL! I had the KIN Brunch special (make it vegan) and it was DIVINE!
Excellently decorated but the Café is quite cramped.

Popped in for brunch and already cannot wait for my next visit. The tofu was delicious, and the breakfast burrito was delicious - we were able to swap it to vegetarian rather than vegan. Coffees were good and the service was lovely! Would also love to try their restaurant next door.

I’ve been here twice now, and both times were great! The portions are huge. The big breakfast is no joke. The food is delicious, and the service is amazing. The pesto was so good that my friend even got one to take away. I haven’t tried any of their desserts yet, but I’ll definitely be back to give them a go!

Side note: They only accept cash so don't forget to bring some cash with you!

First time coming here. The environment, staff and service was incredible. Such a warm, friendly and cosy environment with speedy service despite it being crazy busy. We were fortunate enough to meet the siblings Navio Jnr and Anna who were so funny and inviting. We ordered the veggie breakfast with a side of big bang ciabatta which was so delicious and their homemade pesto is to die for.

Aw man, I wish there were more cafe restaurants like this everywhere. The good old days still lives in this establishment. The old cockney hospitality from days gone are still present in this amazing little place. The food is outstanding. I own two Italian restaurants and I can tell the food here is nothing short of delicious, authentic and fresh. The owner (Pellici) still cooks every plate in the kitchen but still has time to laugh and play with all the customers. His wife is amazing. The staff is amazing, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is second to non. Love this place, thank you.

Got the Have the Lot (meat) and portion sizes were huge. 2 plates for 3 was enough. Special mention to the white sausage and fried toast, both were absolutely delicious. Space was slightly small and the queue can get quite long out the door. Owner was friendly and always checked in on the food and food was served quick!

One of the busiest coffee shops I’ve ever seen and even with all the chaos and having over 5 people working, they manage to give the best costumer experience.

Congrats to the team for having a really good coffee with nice tones and as well having a smile at all times.

They seemed like they were having the best time even though we know how busy it is and how things can be tricky.

Coffee was really good with strong flavour and I had a vegan protein ball which was tasty.

A sign post of espresso soft serve beckoned outside the shop. Willingly I heeded its command and ordered one. The place had people going in and out and it was not hard to see why. The baristas are all female with happy energy working together. I guess if your house is a happy one, you don’t need social media for advertisement; people are drawn to it like moths to a flame. I added my order too so you can admire its beauty.

Whenever I am in London this is my go to place for coffee.
Both the drinks and the sold bean are solid quality.
Use the stamps to get one coffee free every 10 purchased.

Found the coffee tasteless brown water and threw it away after a few sips.

Each to their own I guess. The shop looks cool but £3.60 for tasteless coffee. Think Pret coffee tastes better. Ended up throwing it in the bin after a few sips and buying a coffee opposite the road at another place as didn’t want to waste my daily caffeine hit on this.

They all deserve a raise for their efficient and exceptional service.
Could do with a better line up /waiting set up as people milling about in the way of the doors was a bit chaotic.

Chill House Coffee Shop

Beautiful cafe with soya milk available as alternative option. Very peaceful, quiet and nice area. We had flat white and it’s amazing the temperature of the coffee was just right. Music wasn’t too loud and the staff were friendly.

The coffee was absolutely outstanding! I walked in on the first day of my trip and ended up coming back every single morning. The owner was incredibly kind, and the whole experience of choosing your coffee felt so personal and customizable. They’re extremely accommodating and happy to make suggestions based on your preferences. One highlight was trying the owner’s homemade peanut butter flavor—phenomenal! I sampled everything from iced lattes to hot lattes, and each one was perfect. This spot quickly became a daily must-visit for me and my mom :)

If you want coffee in London, you need to check this place out. I was just looking for a place to have a coffee in Mayfair and I’m sooo glad I went there.

Just had one of my best coffees for quite a while, this time at Chill House Coffee Shop on Shepherd Street. Quite a cosy coffee shop but plenty of seating both inside and out and the delicious coffee is served in a china cup which for me makes a big difference. TOAD Bakery

The line is long but it moves relatively
quickly! The pastries are delicious and fresh - get the kalamansi and coconut iced bun, this was cheap but delicious, cornbread croissant was savoury but could’ve done with more jalepeno, plum danish was ok, and the everything bagel croissant was delicious! Tastes just like a bagel, but in croissant form so it’s super buttery and flakey.

The least favourite was the Jaffa cake, texture was a bit too dense.

Would queue again!

This was a very nice pastry, and to be honest they seemed to have tonnes of great options. It was delicious! My only gripe with this place is that the queue was mental - I was in it for 45 minutes. I have no issue with a place being popular but the queue was barely moving which was slightly frustrating.

The line was sooooo long and you look at it, and think is it worth it for a bakery??

And let me tell you… it is SO worth it. I truly believe this is the best bakery in London and is worth every single person in line waiting for pastries. We ordered so much and enjoyed every last bite. They had a collab at the time and we had a beef curry pastry which was fab. The pastry just tasted incredible, the different savoury and sweet options were an added bonus.

Great place. Sometimes you need to wait for quite a while but its worth the wait. Lovely pastries, lots to choose from: both sweet and savoury. Go there!!

Legitimately my favourite bakery in London because of their friendly, neighbourhood welcome, their interesting experimenting with bakery products and of course everything is excellent. I can highly recommend their sandwiches as well as the cakes on offer!

Dishoom Canary Wharf

We were looking forward to this place for a while and heard/read all the reviews about this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The moment we walked through the doors, we knew this would be an authentic Indian experience. Hussain (manager) and Monica (waitress) went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional service. They were attentive, very knowledgeable about the food and helpful. The dishes served were 10/10 and the portion sizes were perfect. I would highly x 2 recommend this restaurant for a date night, meet-up,  a group gathering or any occasion. This place delivered and the chefs done good!

Overall amazing! Truly cannot fault a single thing we were served. The service was just so lovely and inviting, the food was some of the best south Asian I’ve had that Is not authentically home made!
I’m so gutted I didn’t take pictures of the ruby biryani and the mutton curry, because they were faultless We just couldn’t wait to dig in!
Those prawns were honestly spectacular! Spicy and just the perfect grill. Think it was by far the best on the menu.

There’s nothing that I didn’t like about this place. The food was amazing. The lamb chops were out of the world. Okra fries (5)are a must. Chicken ruby(5) was amazing. Daal (4.5)was great too. Naans were thin and yum. The paneer roomali roll was great roo (4.5/5)

Best restaurant for modernized Indian food. Service is amazing, staff is very friendly and helpful. The food also is very good, and not your standard Indian food, but thoughtfully put together modernized versions of it. They have a separate vegan menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's well worth a visit.

Very nice fries and club sandwich. Not too sure about the egg inside, would be better with real cheese instead of the plastic slices. Stayed crispy and didn't go soggy. Liked the packaging.

We tried Desi Nashta, club sandwich and cheese paratha. Taste was amazing and delicious. Good Environment and Excellent Hygiene.

Dishoom Covent Garden

A modern restaurant in a great central location serving excellent quality Indian dishes. Pretty huge menu can be quite overwhelming but does offer plenty of choice. Fantastic curries including mutton which was excellent and monkfish as well as the classic Chicken Ruby. The Biryani was great with a jackfruit option for the non meat eaters and the black daal was amazing! Some excellent drink options too with refreshing lassis, trendy cocktails and the classic Kingfisher beer and Thums Up Asian cola. Would recommend booking in advance as gets very busy with queues often spanning round the block. Service can be touch and go particularly during busy periods where you’re often fighting to get someone’s attention but overall a great experience with delicious food.

Dishoom doesn’t need a critical review. It’s buzzing like the AI boom. Always has a line out the door, especially this original location. They dine you fast so don’t be discouraged by the long lines. We walked in on a busy Saturday evening & managed to snag a table in 30 mins. The vibe of the restaurant is electric, two floors packed with customers & waiters running around harmoniously. It’s really a well run restaurant with top customer service. The menu is intriguing & drool worthy. We tried a bunch of the things - pav bhaji, house chaat, chicken ruby, garlic naan & Kashmiri Chili ice cream. All taste good, but not out of this world good. They do the nail that Bombay Irani cafe vibe & overall it’s a crowd pleaser of a place. Dishoom is an impressive place to visit but isn’t necessarily a memorable one. Again, it doesn’t need this critique as it does a commendable job and it’s gonna thrive for years to come.

WORTH. THE. HYPE.  This was the best Indian food we've had since...being in India and it's not even close.  We waited maybe 20 minutes for a table for 6 (5 humans and a toddler) which wasn't bad in my opinion.  Our waiter insanely attentive.  We ordered drinks and I wanted to try their chai, but he said I should have something fun so he made it a ~naughty chai~ but then also brought me a regular chai just to try it too.  He brought out a milk for our toddler and it was just slightly warmed (nice touch).  We talked about how we went to Dehli a few years ago and that's where our waiter was from originally, so he brought us out a local dish that we didn't try while we were there.. very thoughtful!  You name it, we got it to try.. vegetable samosas, chili chicken, butter chicken, chicken biryani (the cranberries were actually a surprisingly great touch), the House Black Daal, the broccoli salad, cheese naan, garlic naan, raita.. nothing missed.  We stuffed ourselves silly.  We also came here to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and at the end he brought out THREE desserts for her which was insanely nice.  I swear it was the most welcoming restaurant and atmosphere.  I wish I could come back every month.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and sat. A lovely dining experience with a great server.
Chicken ruby, lamb chops and jackfruit Biryani were all 10/10
Hiding in that menu is Chilli Chicken which was 12/10. I could eat it everyday.

Dishoom Covent Garden was lively and packed, but our reservation made things seamless. The staff were welcoming and explained the menu clearly, which made ordering easy. Every dish we had was bursting with flavour and beautifully cooked.

We enjoyed the prawn pathia, black daal, cheese naan, mango & fennel lassi, and watermelon sharbat. On our second visit, we tried the chicken berry Britannia, okra fries, raita, and fish - all delicious. The berry crumble with coconut was a standout for me.

Despite the queues, the service was smooth and well-organised. The warm atmosphere, great food, and thoughtful touches made it a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Batch Baby

There is always a que at Batch Baby and for weeks I would cycle past and wonder why. Today I stopped by and found out why.

Great coffee, good pastries, a friendly service and good crowd of customers.

An Americano and fig Danish pastry cost me £8 and I had to que for 10mins on a busy Sunday morning, but it was worth it.

The coffee was very good and the pastry was light, crumbly and moist. In short I would suggest joining the que, I will be.

Cool. Hip place. I've been going there for 3 years consistently and saw it expand which is amazing. It's always busy so it's good to get there early to grab a table if you want to work or even get a coffee. The weight full of coffee is quite long usually, but it's definitely worth it and the people working there are always super kind. The pastries are also amazing as well as the sandwiches that they serve. It feels very homey in a way and a snapshot from the past.

The first time I came here I ordered a 1:1 which wasn’t great and I left thinking that I could’ve ordered better. Came back a second time and got the house batch and a flat white. Batch was served too cold and I couldn’t drink it all. Flat white was good however. I really want to like this place because the staff seem knowledgeable and the vibe is good but I’ve been underwhelmed each time. I was expecting better from a place I’d heard good things about. Maybe I’ve come on an off day??

Buzzing atmosphere, 3 exceptional batch brew filter coffees available (from Spanish roasters this month) and an awesome breakfast sandwich too. Really pleasant team at all times too.

I so much enjoy when I see specialty coffee shops taking care of their filter coffees (even more, when it's part of their name ;) ).

There was a selection of batch brews (4 if I recall correctly) and the one that i had was in a very good shape with rich flavours.

The people behind the bar were very polite and they took their time to explain me the available varieties.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem near King's Cross station by chance and after trying couldn’t believe it wasn’t much busier than it is. The chocolate almond croissant was perfect - flaky, rich, and generously loaded with sliced almonds and had a gorgeously melted bar of good chocolate inside. The plain croissant? Deep golden layers, buttery aroma, crisp on the outside and soft within.

Coffee was spot-on. Strong, smooth, and made with care. Friendly service, no fuss, no rush. Just great pastries, great coffee, and a quiet spot to enjoy them. One of the best bakeries I've tried in London. Will return.

Croissants are one if my favorite things and so are boulangeries. I go to Paris quite often and I love trying different boulangeries. The croissant from this place is a croissant you could get in Paris and it's the best I've tried in London. Super crispy, flaky, a hint of butter, fluffy inside. I will come back for more!! We also tried the almond croissant and the chocolate eclair. These two were good, but for me the plain croissant was outstanding.

From the window, everything looked and smelled delicious, and it was! It was very difficult to choose what to eat because everything looked delicious. The chocolate bar and cappuccino were delicious! A special mention for the friendly and warm service I received.

I came across this cozy little café back in February. It looked so inviting and warm that I stepped inside, and the staff were incredibly kind, even recommending their favourites and a little backstory of the cafe. I’m not usually a coffee drinker, so I went for a hot chocolate, and it was absolutely stunning. Looking forward to my next visit when I’m back in London!

After being recommended this location by a friend, I'd made a point to visit it for a weekly treat when possible around my lectures in the autumn/winter. The staff was always nice, and though the goods could maybe be considered expensive, you absolutely get your money's worth! Everything I have had here has not only been well made and decadent, but filling too. Lovely place!

Great and pleasant service, pleasant atmosphere, the food is great and portion size is large! The preparation takes a bit of time, so take it into account.
I took the cat breakfast as I was pretty hungry, but in retrospect the kitten breakfast would've been better for me, finished pretty stuffed!  Would definitely recommend and come back here :)

I had the best time going to this Cafe. The staff were incredible and so lovely! I had the pleasure of having the salad bowl and easy to say it was one of the best I’ve ever had, all was so tasty and the serving size was great. Such a nice environment with  a lovely decorated and spacious setting. The toilets were also very clean and the decor were lovely! Would 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for tasty vegan food 😊

I had the Spice Tofu Jerk Burger (£15) – 100% vegan and served with chips, slaw, and salad – and it was absolutely delicious! The tofu was full of flavour with just the right spice, and the sides made the meal complete. The service was friendly and the girls were really great and helpful, which made the experience even better. A generous portion, totally satisfying, and amazing value for a full vegan plate. 🌱🍔🍟🥗

Dulce Coffee London

Dulce Coffee Shop has quickly become one of my favourite spots in London! From the second you walk in, the vibe is warm and welcoming – you instantly feel at home. The staff are so friendly and always up for a chat, which makes the whole experience even better.

They’ve also got a great range of food, from fresh savoury dishes to amazing cakes and desserts. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and the portions are generous too. One of the things that really sets Dulce apart is that it’s HMC approved, so you know everything on the menu is halal and prepared to the highest standards. It’s such a relief to have that peace of mind when eating out.

The place itself is stylish but still cosy – perfect for catching up with friends, working on your laptop, or just enjoying a quiet coffee break. Prices are really reasonable for the quality you get, which makes it even better.

All in all, Dulce Coffee Shop is a real gem

So happy we found this place. Set us up for the day with really yummy food and amazing tea. We were seated downstairs and it was super busy but everything flowed like clockwork.  Good vibes. Great service too thank you

We had the full (English) breakfast on the menu consisting of Toast, mushroom, baked beans and turkey rashers.
My wife and I don’t take eggs so we requested for more portions of turkey rashers instead and they were lovely to oblige us.
We had it with orange juice - and speaking of the orange juice, the best so far I’ve had in the uk. Real Orange juice which I believe was just blended and not Tesco orange juice.

The breakfast was tasty and filling.
The service was great too.

12 pounds ish for what you see in each of the photos. Decent, considering our ibis hotel next door was also offering a 12 pounds breakfast. But expensive if you add coffee or juice.

Dulce Whitechapel is a lovely spot for a vegan or vegetarian breakfast. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared with fresh, wholesome ingredients that deliver good flavour without being overwhelming. I usually buy their croissant and enjoy their smooth, well-made coffee. The service is friendly and welcoming. While the cafe is small, it offers a cozy environment that makes it a pleasant place to visit. Great find in the famous Great Titchfield street of London , a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus.
The food was excellent, ditto for the coffees. This café/ restaurant is really small and seems to be over staffed. There are two wooden benches outside that can probably take no more than four people. There is not ample seating inside either.
My biggest disappointment was brunch not being served after 12 noon from Mon- Fri, why?
The atmosphere is somewhat non existent and their clientele consists of people from the neighbourhood, BBC employees having their coffee or the passing tourists that somehow feel unwelcome.
Payment is made upon ordering at the till but how cheeky of them to display on the till screen  prior to making payment if one would like to add 10%/15% or 20% gratuity or nothing ? Are we now in U.S mode in the UK? And what service are we talking about ? Serving you what you ordered at the till? Perhaps if this restaurant was bigger and offered table service than we could possibly talk about service charges?
I would highly recommend going there and I hope that management is thinking of having more spacious premises with perhaps more kitchen staff.

Good quality coffee. The pancake is on point and looks cute! Just maybe maple would be a better syrup for it (instead of chocolate).

Nice location. This area is like coffee shops mining. Nearly every step you can see and buy coffee. In Kaffeine  they sell Square Mile beans but after ask them you will be awarded to taste single origin Skylark Coffee Roastery product.

Great bakery and awsome pastries. Apple miso danish was wonderful, crispy dough and balanced taste. Also cappuccino and hojicha latte were very good. Honey toast wasn't to good as I expected, but not bad. It was too dry for me. Some cream with toast will be better. Nice, cozy atmosphere with asia influence. Very nice and helpful services. I am glad for recomendation and talk. Their another savoury and sweet pastries looks also interesting.

My favorite bakery in London by far. Everything I tried was amazing. The doughs are just perfect — whether it’s a brioche that makes the best toast, a croissant that’s laminated and shaped so beautifully (which is really hard to pull off), or a quiche that’s creamy in just the right way, not too eggy and not too heavy on the veggies. Everything felt super balanced and delicious. It’s one of those rare spots where every single thing you pick is a winner.

No doubt many people are aware of this bakery and its excellent reputation, so perhaps leaving a review is somewhat redundant. However, it’s been a couple of weeks since our very first visit and I’ve not stopped thinking about how much I enjoyed it! The Apple Miso Danish frankly deserves its own national holiday. That pesto mozzarella wonder was all but inhaled. And the fight over the last bite of pistachio and chocolate snail nearly ended in divorce with my husband. You know the drill though. Somewhere this good and this hyped gets queues. And we arrived first thing on a Saturday morning too! Be prepared to wait if you arrive later in the day - or just do as we did, which is grab and go as there’s plenty of seating dotted around where you can people watch while you scoff! Definitely one of those places which will beckon you to return to try out their other delectable looking items. In fact, it’s in my diary for this weekend! Oh and shoutout to the team at the counter who patiently dealt with my decision paralysis.

We queue for more than 45 minutes to get a seat. The croissant was crispy, fluffy and tasty. The homemade butter and jam enhanced the taste further. The pistachio, chocolate, escargot was good too. However, the coffee was average. Another  small unpleasant experience was people who queue for takeaway decided to have a sit, spoiling the if enjoyable experience.

As I’ve mentioned I love a dessert that’s also egg so you’re damn right I booked it over here when I caught wind of something called a giant egg custard tart. They were busy but the people working were very organized and kind and got me a fresh one from the oven!! The precision at work here, I mean just look, their pastries are so stupid pretty. I want to come back for the honey toast, pistachio roll and strawberry matcha tart if they have it again, on this day however I was on a mission so I just got my tart and rushed it home. I think they should consider making this with a different kind of pastry crust, maybe short, something with a snap because this current one was very buttery and on the soft side and I think texture contrast would take this to another level. That said, it was very good, and it was in fact a giant egg custard tart, so really, can’t complain. Thrilled this exits. Dreams do come true people

Situated a short walk from Stratford (and even closer to Maryland station), this is a nice enough looking establishment, which seems popular with locals.

Portion sizes were reasonable and the food tasted nice, but wasn’t outstanding.

Has a lot of seats as there is another area to sit downstairs, but points lost for the fact that upstairs you will get cold during winter as no inner door to prevent the cold coming in when people come in and go out, plus no sign of an accessible toilet. It also wasn’t very clean and the waiter misgendered my female friend based on her having short hair.

The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic Thai flavour. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Came here before West Ham game. Was not very busy, I imagine is busier in the evening. Food was great, although I accidentally ordered 2 mains as I picked a rice that was a main to go with my red Thai curry. So very filling! Crackers were nice and fresh also.

Outstanding Thai Flavors in the Heart of Stratford!

Thai Pie is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, modern atmosphere. The menu offers a fantastic range of authentic Thai dishes and Traditional pies and a fast food menu for the kids,  With  each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.

I tried the Pad Thai, Green Curry, red curry and some of the appetisers, all were exceptional. The ingredients were fresh, the spice level was perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous.

Service was prompt and friendly, and the staff clearly care about making every guest feel welcome and attentive to their needs. Whether you're a Thai food connoisseur or trying it for the first time, Thai Pie is a must-visit in Stratford. Highly recommended!

The Coffee Room - Mile End

Visited this laid back café for some lunch. I was not disappointed.
I ordered the pesto mozzarella focaccia sandwich. The bread was freshly made, gorgeous sandwich.
Cappuccino was smooth and mellow. 75% arabatic and 25% robusto. Very good coffee!
They have a large array of desserts locally made.

Great barista, lovely mocha & turmeric late. Half-price pastry after 5pm makes so much sense. "Garden" space in the back is a nice touch.

I visited this coffee shop a few months ago and really enjoyed it. I went with my husband and we ordered coffee, sandwiches, and desserts. I loved that they had vegetarian and vegan options. The food was super delicious, the staff was very attentive, and the music and atmosphere made our visit just perfect. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was great and so was the service. I bought a mini red velvet cake and it was kinda hard to bite into, but the peach and green tea was super tasty. I loved the ambience inside the seating area. But no sockets! When I went, there was construction,it was extremely loud for over an hour due to the drilling. It didn’t bother me too much but my friend was a bit bothered, but not the fault of anyone. other than that, it was nice and quiet! Overall great!

What a lovely cafe! I’m so glad that I happened upon it by chance, while roaming around the area. The coffee was delicious, as was the cake that I chose. Lovely tiny cafe.
I had a smoked bacon wrap, which was really lovely, flavoursome with a hint of mustard.
My flat white was fantastic, made by the tall friendly barista. Lot of regular customers too.
I was under the impression, after listening to a Coffee podcast of Mark - the owner - and looking at the pictures that the place was bigger - only a table of 6, the back was a workshop area -  and had a more extensive menu. Which was quite limited on the day of my visit.
I still recommend a visit if you are in the area.

An absolute hidden gem for brunch. The atmosphere and decor is so lovely and relaxing. Whole space is very light and airy. The staff are really friendly and sweet. We felt very welcome. The food is delicious. Very fresh and good quality. Also a great price - we paid £13 a head for a breakfast and coffee. Will definitely be stopping by again soon.

Popped in as I was in the area and remembered the cafe from my time at Crown Works Pottery. Ordered a lemon chicken sandwich and a cappuccino to go. The sandwich was honestly one of the best I've had. Sandwiches can be quite expensive nowadays, but I'm honestly more disappointed than pleased.
This sarnie was delicious. Flavours were bold and complementary. The sourdough wasn't overpowering either. Oh and the bread didn't slice my gums into bits.

Def will stop by again, if im in the area!
