Oh my goodness, it was such a lovely late dinner! The food was absolutely fantastic, and the Italian hospitality was simply divine. The menu was so tempting, with so many delicious options that it was hard to decide what to order.
What an incredible place this is! The first thing that caught my attention, was the sheer size of it. The building is absolutely massive. There are many types of Italian products for sale, and several places to eat and drink too, including outdoor dining areas. The shop is really spacious, which makes it easy to browse. The food is all displayed in a very visually-appealing way too. There are lots of fresh food counters, and the food looks and smells amazing. There are plenty of staff around, and they are friendly and happy to help. The shop is priced at the higher end, but I didn't mind too much because I found all kinds of products which I would struggle to find outside of Italy. I really enjoyed it in here and can't wait to go back!
My first time in this expansive space over a number of floors. We chose the least busy restaurant with a small but varied menu...Terra. Huge windows with big sky views (sunny mostly) and comfortable seating. My main course seemed on the smallish side but my friend's starter was enormous. Roamed the Italian supermarket afterwards, which offers nice browsing.
Eataly London is definitely a must-visit, especially for anyone who loves Italy and the cuisine of this region. The staff is very friendly, the store is clean and well-organized and it’s absolutely worth a visit - especially if you’ve never been to Eataly before because it’s simply beautiful! During my next trip to London, I’ll definitely come back and visit Eataly again. You’ll find a wide selection of food and authentic Italian products here.
I’ve visited Italian shops in New York and Paris before, but this was my first time in London. Being right next to Liverpool Street Station made it very convenient, and the place was bigger and more pleasant than I expected. The toilets were cleaner than anticipated, and what really surprised me was the huge selection of alcohol. There were several times more organic wines than what I’d seen in France, so from now on, I’ll come here when I want to buy wine – I’d definitely recommend it. One disappointment was that I wanted to buy truffles, but there were no whole truffles – only oils, salts, and other truffle-flavoured items, mostly cheap truffle additives. On the other hand, there was a huge range of pasta and ingredients, and the canvas bags looked sturdy and affordable. Just don’t buy on impulse, and enjoy your shopping!
