A friend recommended this spot, and it’s quickly become my go-to brunch place in London. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, and the variety on the menu is impressive—all at great value. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Staff like Nafisa and Florin greet you with the warmest smiles, no matter how busy it gets. Their genuine hospitality makes every visit feel special. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place more—give it a try and you’ll see exactly why.
I ordered the GG Royale (9.5) – 2 poached eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon & hollandaise (exactly as described on the menu). What I was served, however, was a plate covered in an overpowering vinegar-based decorative sauce and a side salad, neither of which were mentioned anywhere. The bread was drenched in the sauce and completely inedible. When I raised this with staff, I was met with irritation rather than any attempt to resolve the issue. One member even said, “Next time ask for the sauce to be removed” -a sauce that isn’t even listed on the menu. Instead of being offered a replacement or solution, I was still charged for food I could not eat. Incredibly disappointing experience, especially as I had skipped breakfast to come here. Poor customer service and misleading menu descriptions.
Visited on 30th March 2025 and was really disappointed. I was served a jacket potato that was clearly from a packet and had visible mould — absolutely unacceptable. Shocking that something like this made it to the table. Won’t be returning unless there’s a serious improvement in quality control and care. I ordered a takeaway as the café was super busy on the weekends.
Great food for a decent price. It has a large selection of meals and drinks. The portions are generous and of really good quality. Enjoyed our breakfast there.
Proper east London caf. Always full and buzzing of locals, builders and off duty police from the station over the road. Food is delicious, portions generous and very reasonably priced. I’m here at least once a week!
