Pravaas - South Kensington

Absolutely delish, more modern take on Indian cuisine. Every dish was delicious and elevated from the version I had before. My favourite would be the lamb fillet rogan josh with potato dauphinoise. The chicken mangalorean was really nice with a flavourful and creamy sauce. Staff very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed sitting downstairs with a glass window into the kitchen.

Absolutely mind-blowing food experience! The flavours were outstanding — truly some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Every dish was beautifully prepared, rich in taste, and perfectly balanced. The ambience added to the experience — warm, inviting, and elegant, set in a lovely spot in South Kensington. It was my first time visiting, and I went based on a special recommendation — so glad I did! I’ll definitely be coming back very soon. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine with a refined touch.

Starters were excellent and the selection of pappadum was nice but very small, chutneys were served in tiny ramekins. I don’t think is appropriate to charge £4.50 for additional chutney so we skipped that. Mains were good as it was the service, perhaps a bit too much, over attentive in an artificial way, sometimes people like to be left alone. Lighting was too bright and the toilets lacked the finesse of a fine dining restaurant. Overall, a very nice experience that I recommend but I won’t return. I will discover a new place next time I’m looking for a fancy Indian!

grabbed dinner at this restaurant with a friend last week! was highly recommended by my aunt who went for dinner with a couple work friends previously in the summer. service was impeccable ✨ thank you for pouring my bubble tea into a restaurant glass (even though it was completely my fault for bringing in an outside drink). the entrees were so delicious. we got the duck and lamb for our mains. lamb was 10/10, duck 8/10. highly recommend in my books

An absolute hidden gem in South Kensington. I visited Pravaas with 14 of my teammates and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Pre-ordering was seamless, the service on the day was warm, attentive, and genuinely personal, and the food, just incredible. Beautifully presented, packed with flavour, and very reasonably priced for the quality. My whole team was thoroughly impressed. Thank you, Pravaas, for a fantastic meal. I don’t give out 5-star reviews often, but this one is well deserved. Highly recommended.

Dishoom Kensington

This place offers a unique dining experience with its retro-inspired interior and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent—friendly waiters. 🍳
The filled breakfast naan was a perfect start, and the chocolate lava dessert with vanilla chili ice cream was simply divine. A must-try spot for great food and warm service!

We've had spicy food in Southern California, but in comparison to how it was here, what we had before was toned down. There's no holding back at this restaurant.

I wondered why the portions seemed small and just contributed it to European culture until I realized the food is so spicy that we could only eat so much in one sitting.

The servers were friendly enough, although I wish they had left the pitcher of water on our table instead of us waiting for them to refill our cups. Better yet, milk might have been better.

As for the restaurant itself, it's a mix of retro and modern.

The bathrooms were really retro, like the toilets had the pull chain and the sink had the 2 different faucets for hot and cold.

It's a nice restaurant, just know that eating the food here is like being on an episode of "Hot Ones".

Just love Dishroom. A chain overall the London, but consistent good quality food, great service, and beautiful ambiance. We tried what the waiter recommended. The are all good. Even the dessert - rice pudding is good not so sweet. This place is definitely one of the best restaurants in London.

Such an amazing atmosphere! The wait for a walk-in for 2 Monday at 6PM was an hour. We had the option of waiting at the bar so we ordered a drink and were able to sit and wait.

Once seated, we were there for about an hour. The food came out fast, but we ended up waiting for our check for about 15 minutes.

The food was great, but honeslty the Chicken Ruby was too sweet for my liking.

They also charged us for our anniversary cake/ice cream that we didn't order and assuming was a gift. Im sure it was a mistake they would have corrected if we mentioned it, but we were both so jet lagged we just wanted to go back to our hotel after waiting for the check.

Ruth and Beth are such lovely people and made the place very welcoming. The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is amazing. They allowed my dog (outside seating) and everyone was so sweet towards him! I really like that the restaurant is sustainable and generous.

I visited this beautiful restaurant with my dear friend Silvan, and we were truly impressed. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Every single dish was full of flavor and prepared with such care.

This place is incredibly cozy with an amazing atmosphere. I went alone for a solo dining experience, and it was quiet, relaxing, with a lovely breeze and great music in the background. The food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken cordon blue and it was full of flavor. The customer service was also top notch. I got a 50% discount for not finishing my food 😍. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a peaceful and satisfying dining experience.

When searching for the perfect place to hold a celebration of life, we stumbled upon BaBa Restaurant on Fulham Road.

From the very first contact, Ali and Ege were welcoming, compassionate, and completely accommodating. As we arrived, we were moved to see a beautiful placard outside the restaurant displaying details of the event. It was such a thoughtful, respectful gesture. Mattia was our waiter and absolutely lovely. He was very efficient and humorous too! I appreciated his help with the menu and it was a pleasure watching him masterfully mixing drinks!

The food was all lovely. The seafood was all done beautifully and not at all overcooked. All of the pasta was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend the calzone, I loved the contrasting textures and how the tastes blended together beautifully in each bite! I thought that perhaps the salad could have done with a touch more salt, however it was a nice contrast to the other dishes. Note the other dishes were all seasoned wonderfully.

We particularly enjoyed the complimentary basket of bread. Really delicious selection and it had the perfect amount of sea salt. The tomatoes there were absolutely great, far beyond the normal ones you can get. Adds to the authentic feeling of this Italian restaurant!

The toilets are located downstairs. They are very clean and pleasant. It’s in keeping with the rest of the restaurant, which is well decorated both inside and out.

If you require one, there is a baby seat, it is located downstairs. I don’t believe there is a kids menu. The ragu is very good though and a good size for two young children to share (YMMV).

Prices are a little high here, however you definitely get what you pay for! Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat themselves!

Absolutely delicious! The pomodoro was authentic and full of flavor, but what really made the experience stand out was the special touch of having fresh basil cut right into the olive oil for dipping bread—simple, but unforgettable. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every bite felt like a little trip to Naples. A truly lovely experience and a meal I’ll be thinking about long after London.

A lovely family gathering at this cozy Italian restaurant. All the dishes were perfectly prepared and well cooked. I recommend the Paccheri alla Scorfano and La Parmigiana di Melanzane. My daughter loved the Pasta Ammiscata Patate e Provola. The service was excellent as well.

This is a lovely new bistro . We enjoyed a satisfying seafood paella with a crunchy socarat base, prawns and squid, followed by  a baked lemon sole with a medley of tomatoes, onions, and ginger. The flavors bespoke remarkably high quality ingredients and a deft blending that left each taste distinct and delightful.  A Wagyu spring roll with a mustardy dipping sauce and a heavenly Spanish pan con tomate preceded the mains. Jack was a welcoming and congenial host. We will return.

Mestizo Chelsea: Mexican Restaurant & Margarita Bar

Had a wonderful dinner here with friends. We all went for the Taco Tuesday offer of unlimited tacos. As a pescatarian there were plenty of veggie options to choose from. The time in between ordering your tacos and getting the next ones was not too long. Our waiter Damian was also great, very knowledgeable and attentive.

First Time at Mestizo – Blown Away!

I’d never been to an authentic Mexican restaurant before, but after hearing my colleagues talk about how amazing Mestizo is, I had to check it out..and I’m so glad I did! The food was seriously delicious and looked just as good as it tasted.

The place itself has a really cool vibe, perfect for a Friday lunch that eased us right into the weekend. Big shoutout to Prasun who looked after us..his service was spot on and really made the experience even better.

If you’re after some proper good Mexican food and a great atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend giving Mestizo a try. I’ll be back for sure!

Had a lovely experience with my family Saturday afternoon, it was my mother in laws pre birthday dinner.
We particularly enjoyed the atmosphere, which was more informal than expected.  Alberto was our main server, he has a really lovely character and made us felt at ease and respected. He spent time talking us through the menu and guided us to what would suit our group, this is reflected in his staff as well, who are incredibly professional and clearly take pride in their work. We enjoyed our meal (amazing volcano hot pot to share) and as it was a surprise birthday meal, we were given good treatment with dessert and a surprise performance that made my mother in law smiling. Highly recommend this place, we would definitely go back, we were all left feeling content with smiles. Alberto was a fantastic host and super attentive.

Our waiter was lovely and took his time to explain his favourites on the menu and chat to us. We got 2 for 1 frozen Margaritas (can’t complain) and the food was tasty and I didn’t think it was overpriced as you got a decent amount of everything. I will be coming back to try more of the menu.

Brother Marcus is an absolute gem in London! The atmosphere is warm and stylish, with a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for brunch or a casual dinner. The food was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu had a great variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and everything we tried was delicious.

The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the staff made us feel right at home.

Had an amazing brunch at Brother Marcus on south Kensington ! The food was outstanding.

the fried chicken rösti with eggs was perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked, the granola with apricot was fresh and light, and the scrambled eggs on toast were spot on. Drinks were refreshing too, especially the watermelon & pomegranate juice.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was bright, modern, and welcoming. Everything was well-prepared, delicious, and nicely presented. A great spot for a relaxed brunch.

Brother Marcus is a lovely, quaint restaurant around the corner from South Kensington Station. As a family we were celebrating a milestone, and greatly appreciated the team's efforts to make us feel special with a bottle of bubbly and dessert. Special shout out to all the staff, the manager and Belle for creating a warm atmosphere coupled with wholesome, good quality plates of food. Would definitely recommend others to try this place!

The Chelsea Corner

As a tourist, I felt absolutely welcome here. The service, and our waiter, Rose, were nothing short of amazing. We first ordered drinks and they were very good, and then we ordered our food. Rose forgot to put in our orders at first, which wasn’t a big deal. We are all humans, we make mistakes, but in light of that, she gave us a free round of drinks. Rose was a very great waitress. Very cordial, professional, and friendly. Our food was absolutely delicious and it was overall a 10/10 experience. If I’m ever back in London, I will for sure be coming back here.

Love the Lamp chops and the vibe of the restaurant. We also ordered a bottle of wine that’s really highlight the meal up to the next level.

Our dinner tonight at the Chelsea Corner was hands down the best dinner we’ve had on our 9 day trip to London. Carl and Francis took excellent care of us and made sure we were well taken care of. The Mozzarella garlic bread with caramelized onions was the perfect start to our meal. The pasta was fresh with perfect portion and  presentation. I had the prawns, another had the bolognese special, and my daughter only wanted chicken Alfredo, which wasn’t on the menu, but they made it for her and it was delicious! We finished with sorbet and tiramisu which were both light and refreshing. Gent, the bartender, poured excellent drinks and remembered our special orders. If you’re like us and tired of pub food and want something different and satisfying, look no further than Chelsea Corner! I wish it wasn’t so far away from New Jersey. It’s saved for next time though!

Wide range of very tastey Chinese food. They're moderately priced and the service from entry to exit to tops.

There are some superb canopy type views of the city at night, which makes for a charming view of the city.

I've eaten there several times in recent years and the service is consistent and Excellent.

Try out their duck specialty, you'll enjoy it.

‼️book your Peking duck ‼️ Wonderful view and the food was really great.  We would have appreciated if the fact that we needed to make a reservation for Peking duck was advertised when we booked.  But the dishes we ordered in lieu were beautiful executed nonetheless.  The staff were lovely also - will come back again still!

More than average food for fair price, great location with amazing view.
The duck was better than average you can get in europe, the execution of the chef not so much. Doesnt say hello, doesnt explain anything, rushes to the table and starts cutting, leaves a lot of meat behind, which is then used to make 6 tiny bites. I wished he would just let ne debone the duck myself, thats how poor the execution was.

Min Jiang is one of my go-to favourites in London. I’ve been many times with different friends, and everyone has always been impressed. The food consistently meets expectations, the Beijing duck is especially outstanding, perfectly crispy and carved at the table, the price definitely matches the quality.

The view overlooking Hyde Park is stunning, a reliable spot for a memorable meal every time.

So we came here for my birthday. Expressly for the Peking Duck. With the backdrop of Kensington Gardens (which was stunning and must be wonderful on a sunny day) and elegant surroundings. It’s v relaxed though for some reason our food took longer than expected for which the server apologised. I would rate food 4 stars. It’s expensive but it was all delicious and well flavoured accompanied by tasty and plentiful sauces. It’s fabulous having the succulent juicy duck carved in front of us and it was all very enjoyable. Could the skin been a tad crisper and flavourful - perhaps! But it was still delicious. I would say that the second serving (we chose fried rice) didn’t contain much duck at all and we didn’t get the leg. So that was a bit disappointing.  But again the fried rice was perfectly cooked.  It got quite busy for the lunchtime and that added to the atmosphere. I liked the little gift bag for Chinese NY which was a nice touch at the end.

Bluebird Chelsea

Coming to Bluebird was a great experience from start to finish. The ambiance was vibrant yet relaxed, making it a perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. One of the first things we noticed was how warm and welcoming the staff were—friendly, attentive, and professional. The service was truly top-notch, easily a 10/10.

We appreciated the flexibility of having both indoor and outdoor seating options, which is always a plus depending on the weather. We chose to sit outdoor this time as the weather was lovely plus they had the heaters on .

For our meal, we ordered a beautifully cooked salmon dish and a plate of gnocchi. Both dishes were excellent—flavorful, well-presented, and satisfying. The portion sizes were just right, leaving us room to try dessert. We couldn’t resist ordering one to share, and it turned out to be a great decision—the dessert was absolutely delicious and provided the perfect end to our meal.

Given the central location and the high quality of food and service, we found the prices to be quite reasonable. We paid roughly £90 in total, which included a beer and a cider.

We’d definitely come back again and would recommend Bluebird to others!

Took my mum here for a birthday lunch and it was such a lovely experience. The food was absolutely delicious (Caesar salad was perfect) and the team were so friendly and welcoming. They really spoiled my mum and made it feel special, and we never felt rushed.

The salmon here is absolutely outstanding – truly the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, it really shows the chef’s skill and attention to detail. If you love salmon, this place sets a new standard!

A spacious restaurant with a very good decoration but the food was average and expensive compared to allow other similar in the are.
The worst of all at least today was the service. Our waiter was exceptional but something was wrong in the kitchen. Although at the time we have been there almost half of the takes were free or under reservation however it took more than 20 minutes to serve us even when we asked for additional drink.

We sat outside, table for 5. Really friendly service. We had two steaks, burger and chips and I also had the crab starter - all were excellent. Looking at the other guests, next time I'm going to order from the bar snacks instead of a main meal because the chicken burger and burger from the snack menu was very reasonably priced compared to the full menu and they looked a good size too!

The atmosphere and service are excellent, and it’s truly enjoyable to sit here. I’ve been here many times and come frequently, as the breakfast options are amazing with plenty to choose from. The main courses are decent, though not as impressive as the breakfast, but overall it’s a place I would definitely recommend.

No matter how many years pass, this branch maintains the same great quality and service. I always have at least one breakfast there whenever I visit London. The ricotta pancakes, scrambled eggs, and coffee are excellent. My all-time favorite side is the roasted miso mushrooms, though they seemed less seasoned during my last visit.

Good brunch spot in London. Granger & Co served some delicious food if not overpriced in my opinion for what it is and portion size. I definitely recommend reserving a table as the wait for it is around 30 minutes for late breakfast/lunch times and then we waited quite a long time for the food itself. I really enjoyed my corn fritters however I had to order extra bacon with it. Good thing I did as without it I would find a dish a bit lacking, hence paid more than £20. However, I would say once in a year or so I could treat myself. Thank you, delicious 😊

Great service. The menu feels very basic and I honestly don’t get the hype. The one thing that might bring me back is the location. Sitting on Pavilion Road on a nice day is truly irreplaceable.

They add a 12.5% service charge, but it’s worth it—the staff are attentive, offering water and making sure you’re well looked after.
