Noble Palace

Best dim sum we have had. We went for lunch and were well taken care of by the servers and host. We enjoyed the pumpkin dumplings, sea bass, taro croquettes, and steamed pork buns. The standout was their crispy prawns wrapped in noodles served with a light soy sauce. We even went back to order another, but with iberico pork.

The restaurant and vibe itself was a standout. Very comfortable and elegant. We came with our 2 year old and everyone was very welcoming and even brought him special shrimp chips which kept him occupied. Special thanks to the Hungarian manager who I didn’t catch his name. Us hungry parents were very much appreciative we could enjoy a fine dining meal with the kiddo.

We will be back again and highly recommend you make a visit!

My husband booked Noble Palace for my birthday and what an experience. I was craving dim sum (baby wants dim sum) and wow what an amazing selection we had. The staff were really attentive and friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful. Will definitely come back once baby it out!

I had a fantastic dining experience today. Yuri and Kara, our servers, were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. They even asked about allergies, which was thoughtful. The food was delicious, and the beautifully presented dessert was the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend for great food and excellent service!

P.S. The dessert is a special order, so I recommend ordering it in advance. Don’t miss out on their special dessert—highly recommended!

Went here for a baby shower and everything from the customer service, food, and ambiance was great. Can’t say much about the price because we were a big group so I paid fairly for what I got. They adjust for dietary restrictions, were constantly refilling water/sparking water based on your preference, and kindly handed bags for leftovers. One of the nicest baby showers I’ve been to! Thank you!

Speedboat Bar

Oh my word. My husband and I came here with high expectations for our anniversary. Firstly, a sincere shoutout to the friendly and highly attentive waitstaff. We reserved in advance (which I recommend doing as it gets busy!) and they had actually read my booking notes. In the notes I mentioned I was pregnant and so they double checked I was happy with the preparation and ingredients of certain dishes. The menu leans towards the spicy and salty side, but at the same time is very fragrant and aromatic. Quite addictive really! I’ve seen viral videos of that Tom Yam deluxe noodle dish so obviously we had to get it. It was delicious, but to my surprise, my favourite dish was their Naem fried rice. It’s been about a week since our visit and I’m still licking my lips thinking about it. To top everything off, we got a surprise scoop of taro ice cream. How adorable is that? Lots of love to Speedboat. We’ll be back, and definitely before our next anniversary!

hyped up place for sure and while the interior lives up to the hype and certainly some of the dishes do they are unfortunately inconsistent and I don’t think pay attention to detail… possibly because it gets so busy. Don’t get me wrong it was nice and tasty but just a little inconsistent and not insane value. The rice was overcooked and actually clumped together which I wouldn’t expect from a Thai restaurant- especially when paying £4 extra.. the purple aubergines were really nice, tender and flavourful. However for £12.50 I got one long purple aubergine- eight pieces. Would’ve said id happily pay £9, as it wasn’t mind blowing but very very nice. Would’ve been nicer with better rice. Good spice level, even though we received warning it was actually perfect. Channah got crispy egg noodles with gravy pork and squid and was pleasantly surprised with two different types of squid and she said good value for the amount of squid, as she’d expect more pork and less squid but it was the other way round. The spice also could’ve been higher and she wanted more greens in the mix and garnish. She really enjoyed though and felt it was good value for central London £17. Staff are possibly a bit overworked and overwhelmed but they are all so lovely. Happy to have come but wouldn’t rush to come back.

Food and drinks were great!! I am obsessed with Tom yum mama noodles and regularly have the instant version at home so this boujee version was fantastic!! The fried rice was very flavoursome and even better with the sauces! Pour the beef tongue curry sauce on it and it’s even better! The pineapple pie was a nice way to end the meal

I have lived in London for 6 years and tried all kinds of good or bad restaurants. However, this is the first time I have written a review for a restaurant. First of all, I would like to thank the patient waiters and their drinks are good. However, what puzzles me is that the pricing of your restaurant's dishes is like a joke with customers. Your specialty dish "yum pot" is priced at 29 pounds. In fact, it is pitifully small and the contents are only some fried pork and convenience-based bargains, and a bowl of small rice costs 4 pounds. In addition, as for your taste, as an Asian, I can responsibly tell other consumers that the taste level of your food has only reached the middle and lower reaches. Then, your dining environment focusses on the style of "market flavour” and " street food", so your dining environment is actually pitiful. Finally, in short, you don't have the dining environment and service experience of a high-class restaurant, and you don't make the food delicious. Overall, you have only achieved the level of 8 pounds per person. I don't understand why you have such a high Google rating.

I was a little bit underwhelmed with this place - huge potential with such a unique and cool vibe to the place. The only thing is it gets so crowded even the staff seem stressed with the hot plates darting around people. I wouldnt come back on a Thursday-Saturday night. Because it was so crowded I think the staff felt overwhelmed.

If it wasnt crowded I wouldve had a better experience for sure as the food was pretty good and the vibe was cool! Definitely recommend the noodles but sizzling seafood was average!

Ma La Sichuan

What a lovely vibrant atmosphere, authentic Chinese food and really good portions of food! I did not expect to find a place like this at all behind the huzz and buzz of Big Ben and Westminster areas!  We were sight seeing with our friends from Canada and Belgium and we stumbled upon this restaurant, with 8 of us walk in and no reservations on a lunchtime and was quite busy but we’re still accomodated despite  the circumstances that we had. The location was only a few meters away from Westminster abbey which someone would thought this place did not exist . The food was served quick and fast and simply irresistible flavours . The service was simply handled by Judy , genuinely attentive, respectful and friendly. Food prices I thought was expensive which I thought it’s London price but I was proven wrong as the portions were actually for 2-3 people eating and I was gobsmocked to see the quality and quantity of it! It was indeed a very good value of our money !  Definitely will be back here if we are in London and it was truly an amazing experience! Highly recommended.

The restaurant is lively and always decently full which is a great sign. The service is efficient and friendly, and the waiters are all very attentive with regards to drinks. I will say that the food is rather good, the fried noodles, squid, and soft shell crab all recommended. Will be back soon!

Loved this asian restaurant, we ate all sorts of plates (all to share, group of 7) and they were all quite yummy. We walked in without a reservation and they treated us very politely, sat us down immediately. The food was great, our favorite was the fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken.

Definitely will be returning soon!

Excellent service!! as somebody who has worked in the hospitality industry almost my whole working career, I can tell they take pride in their customer service and attentiveness at this restaurant.

Food was delicious as well! My friend and I got the sim sung platter, prawn Singapore noodles, a bottle of wine, and duck spring rolls. We both agreed we’d definitely coming back soon, we loved everything.

And again, I don’t think I’ve ever had such attentive staff! They didn’t let us lift a finger… Even on such a busy evening, they were completely full!

Far East Kitchen

Highly recommend Far East Kitchen, the value and quality is exceptional! I got the Korean Box and it comes with so much for the price. The k-dog is delicious and fresh, the wings are great, and the brisket fries were super filling! The staff are very friendly if you collect and it did not take long at all.

The gyozas were also very good, they were in a nice honey glaze. The dessert bao buns were very indulgent, covered in sugar! They come with a custard and chocolate dip, really enjoyed the custard.

Far East Kitchen never disappoints! I tried their Korean box with corn dog, wings, and loaded fries and wow, it was so good! Everything was crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying. Their customer service is also amazing  , so friendly and generous. They even sent me a free dessert once because I ordered a lot. Highly recommend!

We ordered a Half and half corn dog, a Chicken bao bun, a K dog meal, some vegetables gyoza, some Dessert bao bun, a freshly made mango drink and a fizzy mango drink. The half and half corn dog had more cheese in it than sausage.

The sausage itself was even halved, I ask even before I ordered if there were poorly half and half. As in inside is cheese and sausage but the sausage is in the middle cheese around the sausage, and the batter around them both and I was told yes. Which was not the case.

The Chicken bao bun was decent, the dessert bao bun was mid, it tasted alright, but there was nothing special about it. I think what made it nicer was the cinnamon and sugar as the dessert itself was flavourless and dry. The sauce that was given with it was chocolate and custard, but they were very running and diluted.

The vegetables gyoza, tasted more like onions than vegetables, which was not nice. The freshly made mango juice was alright but it could have been sweeter. The mango fizzy drink was good. The customer service was friendly, and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food which was good.

The food was not worth the amount of money we paid, I would not go back here and I wouldn’t recommend it either. Really nothing against the people who work here and the person who owns this placement. But the food could do with some improvement.

All I can say about this place is—wow! Truly one of the best food spots I’ve come across. I’ve visited multiple times, and the quality has remained consistently excellent.

The combo box with beef corn dog, chicken and prawn gyozu, chicken wings, chicken strips, grilled chicken boa bun, and loaded fries. The boa bun was phenomenal, and I recommend eating this whilst it's still warm. The chicken wings came second with the crispy batter, gyozus next, and then the strips. Everything else was just alright.  For the money you pay, though, well worth it!

Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay - Bishopsgate

The food was superb. We went with the £80 per person sharing menu. My personal favourites were the fish and chicken. There was plenty of food, we took some home. The service was rushed, and we had to tell the server not to remove dishes from the table on several occasions. The views are phenomenal!

Had a great dinner to celebrate the last day of our trip. The food and views are impeccable. Our waiter Yasin was very attentive and provided great service. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter and her boyfriend visited us in London, and of course Lucky Cat at Bishopsgate is the must go place. With perfect service as always from the staff, the best view and food in London, it’s a safe bet that it will be an unforgettable evening. We were lucky having Andres as our waiter who made it even more unforgettable, always willing to take photos and videos and sharing his knowledge about the food and the drinks.
We started with the must have Zanmai sushi platter, the Wagyu maki is out of this world. The next on the menu was the Tempura and dumplings where I want to make a shoutout for the mushroom tempura and especially the sauce that is a true sensation. For meat we had the Spiced Lamb, Ribeye and the Iberico Pork. Everything of course top notch, but the pork was the the one that positively surprised us the most.
For signature cocktails, don’t miss the Lemongrass Cha, it’s a masterpiece.
Can’t wait to be back soon again!

Dining with a view of Tower Bridge sparkling at night was magical. The food was flavorful, fun to share, and beautifully presented. Each dish brought something unique to the table – from tender meats to crispy bites and vibrant cocktails.

A huge thank you to  Ali, who went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect evening. His hospitality made everything even more special.

House of Ming

Serving 2 difference halve and refried pecking duck, it was dry and no favouring even the duck skin isn’t crispy. The waiter said they make their own pecking duck pancake, we received factory made pancake .

I can taste the Honey roast pork char siu was frozen and reheat by microwave, It was dry and chewy.

£75 for a Lobster tails laid in giant lobster shell with the almost 70% butter I could not taste any lobster meat at all.

For Dim sum we have scallop and prawn har gao, it might be handmade but it usually comes with big pieces of scallop i guess I got a newborn. Har gao should be at least few pieces, we got some in finely chop.

It was a treat from my friend so I have to be polite and not to complaint . For the same price we paying in central london you can get much better quality and services.

Fried rice with xo sauce was nice not greasy but xo sauce should have dry scallop and spiciness.

Noodles with mushroom is slightly salty but it is the most decent food of that meal.

The waiters aren’t seem to know what are they serving and the ingredients. Foods aren’t serve as what we being told.

I was with a group of friends for a special event so I have to be polite and nice on that day.

My husband and I were staying at the Taj and as it was or 45th wedding anniversary thought we would have a nice meal. We chose House of Ming as we had heard good things about it, on arrival we were greeted warmly and showed to a lovely booth with curtains. Staff were attentive and the food was really nice, especially as we were vegetarian for that period, it was Navratri and we don't go vegetarian for the nine days. My husband (who isn't vegetarian normally) was also very impressed and as he's also a very good chef it's a huge relief when he finds the food excellent. We were given complimentary cocktails and a beautiful dessert in honour of our anniversary. Thank you to B. Prasad and everyone who works for House of Ming for making our evening extra special.

The service was lovely, the manager and all staff members were really kind. Celebrated a birthday and they bought out a mini cake and sang which was incredibly sweet. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and the food was delicious. Would recommend others try.

House of Ming at the Taj St James Court London delivered an absolutely exceptional lunch experience!
From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was perfectly serene and elegant, creating a truly special atmosphere.
We started with the Golden Fried Prawn, which was crispy and bursting with flavour, followed by the perfectly seasoned Chicken Salt and Pepper, and the delicate Prawn Har Gao Dimsum. Each appetizer was a testament to the kitchen's mastery of Chinese cuisine.
For our mains, the Hakka Noodles were cooked to perfection, the Chilli Oyster Fish was rich and satisfying, and the Veg Fried Rice was a delightful accompaniment. The delectable flavours of each dish were truly memorable.
A special mention must go to Dexter, whose warm welcome and attentive service made our lunch even more enjoyable. His care and professionalism ensured we had a truly wonderful time. We can't wait to return to House of Ming for another incredible meal!

Peacock London

We booked this Chinese restaurant for lunch which was located at the very prime tourist location.  Initially we thought it was a place mainly for tourists.  Upon arrival, we were led to a window table that had a great view of the Bog Ben.  They were having a summer special that a whole Peking Duck was at a reduced price from £118 to £68.  With no second thought, we ordered the duck right the way.  Along with the duck, we also ordered a few dim sum which were very nicely presented.  It's a pity they didn't cut up the duck in front of us.  Price wise, it was higher than those in Chinatown by 20-30% but it was still reasonable for this location.  Their wait staff were very friendly and helpful.  The two hours of dining went by quickly.  I  would love to try their abalone on my next visit.

Tasty dishes in pleasant atmosphere. Some of the tables have great view to Big Ben. Friendly and polite staff.
But; we were a group of 25 guests. The staff should take time to present the set menus and how to eat the dishes because not all the guests were familiar with Cantonese food. With such big group, they should have a lead staff to coordinate the tables. Pity!

Excellent authentic Chinese food, beautifully presented.   The location on the river opposite Westminster is great, from our table we looked out the window across the tanes and Westminster Bridge  and Big Ben and Parliament House. Price wise very reasonable, I have paid more for Pub Meals no where the quality of the food we ate here.Our favourite dish was the lamb with cumin.

Popped in while visiting London for the first time and I loved it. I would recommend booking to secure a spot with the view, I hadn’t but luckily there was a spot and the lovely staff let us sit in one.
The food was delicious, particularly loved the beef with black bean sauce.

The Sichuan Restaurant

Nice Sichuan Restaurant in the city. They have good selection of regional Chinese dishes and they served the orders quite promptly.  I just wished that if the menu indicated 3  hot or spicy levels, the dish should be really in hot and spicy level the way Sichuan dishes have in China. Staff are all attentive and accommodating.  They have clean washrooms as well.

Overall the food is really good, using straight away and said down a straight away. Food came in good pace and it genuinely felt like you're in China. We ordered a range of food for two with sparkling water. My favourite was the roasted duck and the noodles.  We also ordered the cucumber salad which was a bit of disappointment. Authentic, good price and service.  Would go again

Decent spot for Sichuan between Old Street and Moorgate stations. We had crispy duck and soft shell crab starters, followed by dan dan noodles (nice and spicy) and crispy shredded beef.

We had a great experience at this Chinese restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Highlights of the meal included the dry-fried green beans, which were crispy and savory, and the stir-fried onions with pork, which had a delicious balance of sweetness and spice. The eggplant dish was rich and tender, soaking up the sauce beautifully. The fried rice was light yet satisfying, with a nice mix of chicken, ham, and vegetables. Portions were generous and the service was friendly. A solid spot for authentic Chinese food—we’ll definitely be back!

Excellent fine Chinese dining.

Wide range of very tastey Chinese food. They're moderately priced and the service from entry to exit to tops.

There are some superb canopy type views of the city at night, which makes for a charming view of the city.

I've eaten there several times in recent years and the service is consistent and Excellent.

Try out their duck specialty, you'll enjoy it.

But the dishes we ordered in lieu were beautiful executed nonetheless.  The staff were lovely also - will come back again still!

More than average food for fair price, great location with amazing view.
The duck was better than average you can get in europe, the execution of the chef not so much. Doesnt say hello, doesnt explain anything, rushes to the table and starts cutting, leaves a lot of meat behind, which is then used to make 6 tiny bites. I wished he would just let ne debone the duck myself, thats how poor the execution was.

Min Jiang is one of my go-to favourites in London. I’ve been many times with different friends, and everyone has always been impressed. The food consistently meets expectations, the Beijing duck is especially outstanding, perfectly crispy and carved at the table, the price definitely matches the quality.

The view overlooking Hyde Park is stunning, a reliable spot for a memorable meal every time.

So we came here for my birthday. Expressly for the Peking Duck. With the backdrop of Kensington Gardens (which was stunning and must be wonderful on a sunny day) and elegant surroundings. It’s v relaxed though for some reason our food took longer than expected for which the server apologised. I would rate food 4 stars. It’s expensive but it was all delicious and well flavoured accompanied by tasty and plentiful sauces. It’s fabulous having the succulent juicy duck carved in front of us and it was all very enjoyable. Could the skin been a tad crisper and flavourful - perhaps! But it was still delicious. I would say that the second serving (we chose fried rice) didn’t contain much duck at all and we didn’t get the leg. So that was a bit disappointing.  But again the fried rice was perfectly cooked.  It got quite busy for the lunchtime and that added to the atmosphere. I liked the little gift bag for Chinese NY which was a nice touch at the end.

Imperial Treasure Fine Chinese Cuisine

Dined at this restaurant twice. First time was lunch dim sum which was amazing. Would easily say it's the best dim sum in London and that inspired me to go back for dinner, which was very good but not amazing.  Definitely recommend going there for dim sum.  Excellent service, something you would expect in a Michelin star restaurant. The atmosphere feels like a very luxury fine dining restaurant, very relaxed and calm but very attentive.
I've also had dim sum in their Guangzhou restaurant (Tianhui) and I would say the dim sum is better at London restaurant.

This is the best fine dining Chinese restaurant I've ever experienced. We tried the Peking duck, which we'd reserved in advance, accompanied by Burgundy red wine. The dumplings that came with it were also very good. I can't wait to come back.

We had the Imperial Treasure tasting menu and the food was exceptional! All of the dishes were outstanding! Our top three were the peking duck, black truffle lobster and the steak with garlic chips!

One of the best Chinese dining experiences in London! The signature Snow Mountain BBQ Pork Buns were absolutely outstanding – perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, with rich, flavorful char siu. The Seafood Tofu Soup was also excellent, full of fresh ingredients and very comforting.
Special thanks to our waiter Johnny, who was incredibly attentive and friendly. His professional recommendations made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d love to revisit and highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Chinese cuisine!

I first came to Hakkasan back in 2016 — nine years ago — and I’ve been in love with this place ever since. Few restaurants in London have managed to maintain such a consistent level of excellence over time. Every visit feels just as special as the first.

From the moment you step in, the atmosphere envelops you: dim lighting, elegant music, and that signature balance of modern luxury and intimacy that only Hakkasan can create. The service is always refined yet relaxed, perfectly matching the restaurant’s understated sophistication.

The food remains absolutely outstanding. The crispy duck salad, the black truffle roasted duck, and the legendary pipa duck are on another level — perfectly cooked, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The dim sum selection and wagyu beef dishes are equally impressive, with every bite showing precision and artistry.

Over the years, Hakkasan has never lost its magic. It continues to set the standard for contemporary Cantonese cuisine in London — a place where perfection feels effortless. Whether for a celebration or a quiet dinner, it remains one of my all-time favourites.

We had an amazing time at Hakkasan Mayfair. We visited before but came back again. Love this place. The dimsums are just amazing. The food is amazing as usual. But what’s also really great is the ambience and the warmth with which you are received and hosted every single time. It was an amazing meal from such amazing hosts.

I am deeply disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. The environment was far from pleasant — the basement dining area was extremely noisy, with loud music and people shouting over each other. It felt more like a chaotic market than a restaurant.
Despite the place not being full, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive. When I asked about it, the waiter casually said the kitchen was busy. I ordered the second most expensive set menu, expecting a quality meal, but it was a complete letdown. None of the dishes were tasty or authentic. The roast duck and dim sum were just acceptable, but everything else was barely edible. At least three dishes were so unpleasant that we asked the waiter to take them away after just one bite. Most of the food was overly sour, strange, and unbalanced — the so-called “champagne honey fish” even tasted rotten.
When we told the waiter that the food really wasn’t to our taste and asked for the dishes to be removed, he simply took them turned away without any reaction. The service throughout the meal was slow and indifferent. And to make matters worse, they still added a 15% service charge.
Overall, it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve ever had — poor food, poor service, and a completely unpleasant atmosphere.

Upon entry, we were greeted by exceptionally polite security staff who felt more welcoming than typical security. Inside, the wonderfully decorated space, bathed in dim lighting, offered a convenient bag and coat check. The front desk staff provided a warm greeting, and since we were early, we had the option to sit at the bar or proceed to our table. Naturally, I checked out the bar, which was pleasant with good service.
Descending the stairs, past the nicely segregated dining areas, it was impossible not to notice how busy and well-organized the venue was. At our table, the waiting staff introduced themselves and presented menus, including various options (if you're on a budget, it's wise to plan your meal in advance). The service was good, though there was a little room for improvement. The food, however, was excellent and cooked to perfection.
As I had mentioned it was a special occasion when reserving and confirming, our dessert arrived with a lovely personalized touch, which was much appreciated. Overall, we felt we got what we paid for, and I would highly recommend it.

The atmosphere was nice, although the lighting was a little dim, but that wasn't a problem. The service was excellent and professional, and the food was delicious. The first course, the dim sum, every bite tasted different and was very delicious. The steamed Chilean sea bass, it tastes delicious, you can't stop eating it. In short, dishes with no mistakes. Although a little expensive, I highly recommend it to those who love food and special flavours.

Yauatcha City

Yauatcha City is tucked away in Broadgate Circle, and while the entrance can be a little tricky to find, the location itself is excellent, it is right in the heart of a vibrant, corporate hub. The restaurant’s layout is slightly awkward, however, with the bathrooms tucked away in a far corner, but this is a minor inconvenience.

The atmosphere inside is lovely, and the staff were attentive and helpful with their recommendations. The food was excellent (the Singapore Noodles and Kung Pow Chicken were particular highlights). The desserts were just as impressive; the Hazelnut Praline was especially delicious.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I would definitely recommend it.

Unlimited dim sum here is worth popping in for. Not too bad value if you’re particularly hungry and know you’re gonna do a few rounds.

Variety is less than what it used to be when they first launched their dim sum brunch though, so for those returning they may notice that.

Quality is still there, with everything being freshly made as and when you order. All the dim sum tasted fresh, delicious and had just enough seasoning to highlight the ingredients. Especially the seafood dumplings.

Service is also good and I feel the multiple staff looking after you genuinely want you to feel well catered for.

Drinks get expensive though. A bottle of water for the table is pricey as are all the soft drinks. Think I spent the equivalent of a brunch on the drinks alone.

I’d still return as I like the food, unlimited dumplings and the location. Definitely worth trying at least once.

I visited with a group of colleagues for Friday lunch. Thanks to people working from home the place was fairly empty and we got very good service and food was served promptly. Some of our group shared a duck and I had the vegan mapo tofu dish with the jasmine rice and the green beans and both were very tasty. I also had the orange juice which I wouldn’t recommend. Quite expensive as well so as someone who isn’t particularly fond of Chinese food I would give it a miss.

I wanted to go here for a very long time, but we hadn’t had a chance to. I’ve seen this restaurant for many years and for the first time I did the booking. This was simply because my boyfriend has been so busy with work etc and given the fact that I was now officially his girlfriend (this was our first date in London now being his girlfriend),  I wanted to take the reins a tiny bit and at least book the restaurant. 😄

I did love the decor here, there was a nice atmosphere but it was very busy.  It was airy and tranquil as you walked up the stairs. I thought the orchids with the incense was a lovely touch. As we we got upstairs, we were not taken to our table straight away as our table was not ready which I found a bit odd considering it was booked. We had to wait 10 minutes even though arrived on time a d I was told on the reservation that we would only have the table for two hours. Meanwhile, In the meantime, we ordered a drink and we were enjoying the view overlooking Broadgate circle. We were then taken to our table and given our menus. I was shocked at my boyfriend’s  menu for his gluten-free options as he had he didn’t have much choice which was a real shame. However, the options he did have I actually thought sounded delicious and something that I would’ve ordered for myself. I ordered a mocktail and my boyfriend had his wine.

They were extremely busy so it took them a while to get to us, that would be my only criticism. We ordered our starters of prawn crackers which were really nice. The prawn crackers were lovely and I then went for the Kung Po chicken and my bf went for the steamed prawns which I actually did have my eye on. I would’ve ordered that for myself! He ordered the egg fried rice which we shared. Our waiter was really helpful as recommended one rice to share between us and that would be plenty for both of us. I also ordered a side salad of cucumber which was really nice. I was really impressed with the food though. My kung po chicken was fantastic. I tried some of my boyfriend‘s chilli steamed prawns which tasted fantastic. They were really tasty and if I were to go back there again that is exactly what I would order.

As I looked at the dessert menu, the desserts did look really good and but my boyfriend could only have ice cream.

I was pleasantly surprised that they did a birthday decoration plate for me because it was my birthday the following week (in a few days time) but I was actually really impressed with the fact that they did that and it added a lovely touch. My chocolate raspberry mousse dessert was fabulous.

I was very aware of the time because I  needed to get my train as I didn’t drive into London on this occasion so the end was a bit rushed which was a shame.

But we had a really lovely evening and I would return for sure. The food was of a high standard and I loved the decor, surroundings and atmosphere. I’d go back for the atmosphere and I would order the chilli steamed prawns for myself next time with steamed jasmine rice.

It was a very hot night in London and busy around Broadgate Circle but I really loved the atmosphere and the vibe; The scenery and the decor were stunning.😍 💕

Yauatcha still has some of the best Chinese / Asian food in London. I have been to both their branches many times over the last 12+ years and have never been disappointed.

At my latest visit in January 2025, we started with Scallop Shui Mai, Seafood Dumpling, Edamame Wakame Puff, Soft-crab Bun, and my two all-time favourites and must-haves: Prawn Toast and Prawn & Beancurd Cheung Fun. For the mains, we had Steamed Chilean Seabass, Stir Fry Scallop & Prawn and Egg Fried Rice.

While everything tasted great, the Steamed Chilean Seabass was completely out of this world and worth its price tag (£48). My only complaint for Yauatcha is that their Egg Fried Rice has never been as good since they changed their recipe a few years ago, and I'm never genuinely happy with it now.

The service was attentive, polite and friendly. We had Viktoriia take care of us and she was very good.

The restaurant is nice and warm in the cold winter months despite full glass walls overlooking Broadgate Circle. But they seem to have built their toilets in the tundra - no heating, blisteringly cold water, and even the hand dryers blow out freezing air. This, weirdly, was the only off-putting thing in the entire experience!

Upscale spot with lanterns, silk curtains and city views, serving dim sum and northern Chinese fare.

Hutong

It was a last minute booking as my other half couldn’t decide where he wanted to have dinner but since we’ve been at Hutong before, it was an excellent go to for any occasion.
Maybe I’m just getting too old but my boyfriend and I wasn’t impressed with the volume and choice of music.
Food and service were otherwise excellent as always. Also, always leave room for dessert!

Celebrated our anniversary dinner here and it was worth it, 5 star on all categories. We were well assisted by Alan who’s not just a great staff but also a very good photographer, very attentive to our needs and details on all his service, the foods was great especially the duck, all I can say is wow, all the foods we got was amazing & freshly cooked, and the dessert was excellent, the best mango dessert I had so far in the UK, really tasted like sweet mango from Asia. And we were surprised with the free dessert to greet us for our special day, and they were also able to accommodate our request regarding the seating arrangement. Thank you to all the staffs! Really enjoyed our dinner from start to finish 😁

From getting to the shard to reaching the restaurant upstairs every single member of staff were so friendly. When we got to the restaurant our table was ready despite us being 10-15 minutes early, we were taken to our table and we had booked the skyline experience so was seated next to the window with a great view. The meal we had was amazing and the portion sizes were very fair, not too small and not too much. The duck was the best thing as they bring it out and cut it in front of your table for you to see. We was here celebrating a birthday and the staff even prepared a little happy birthday treat for my partner which was ever so kind. Well worth the money and I would come back here for sure

Wonderful treat for my daughter’s birthday. Our server was excellent. There are probably better, less expensive places if you want Chinese food here in London, but we wanted to treat ourselves to The Shard! The two highlights were our server who was lovely and the King Of Dragon cocktail which was amazing! Thanks to all the staff there!

Service was amazing and cocktails were 10/10. Dessert was lovely and the birthday treat was a nice touch. However, it would have been helpful to know there’s a cut-off 30 minutes before your booking ends, which did take away from the experience. I also found a staff comment about ordering more food a bit unnecessary — if I want more, that’s my choice and what I’m paying for. The food was just okay, nothing special, and the view felt quite far away (would have been better by a window). Overall, some highlights but not sure it’s worth the money.

Zu's Ilford

I have been eating in Zu’s on and off for over 15 years.  They always make the same great Chicken Grill, it’s superb, grilled from raw (not boiled first like everyone else).  Takes longer but you get a proper grill taste.  Always the same standard and great taste.

The staff always try to please customers too.

Review for Zu’s, High Road Seven Kings (Uber Eats Order #8808F, placed around 3:00 AM on 18 April 2025)

I had a very bad and dangerous experience ordering from this restaurant. I found a staple pin inside a piece of meat in my food. While chewing, I felt something sharp in my mouth—it turned out to be a metal staple embedded in the meat.

Thankfully, I didn’t swallow it or suffer any injury, but this could have caused serious harm if it had gone unnoticed. It’s extremely concerning that something like this could make it into a customer’s meal.

This kind of negligence is completely unacceptable. I have taken clear photos of the staple and the food for documentation and will be reporting this to Uber Eats and the relevant food safety authorities.

I strongly advise the restaurant to urgently inspect their kitchen practices and ensure this never happens again. What happened was not just careless—it could have been dangerous to someone’s health.

Overall the food is really tasty and fresh, especially the chicken grill. The chicken was tender and juicy. The naans are made infront of you. The sitting area is small and the toilet is a bit dirty. Also the service is a bit slow as they receive too many delivery orders. But the food is really good. Highly recommended.

Worst food
I had an extremely disappointing experience here. The food smelled & tasted stale, food was cooked several days ago. The vegetables and daals were especially unpleasant.
A friend who previously worked there confirmed they sell food that’s 8–10 days old,microwave displayed food to show its fresh, and even reuse leftover sauces from customers instead of discarding them🤮🤮. This is absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable. 🤢🤮

I strongly advise avoiding this place for your own health and safety.

Always dined at Zu’s in Green street, however ever since I’ve moved further down I’ve been coming to the Ilford branch and the taste and atmosphere is the same. Delicious food all around and they’re open till very late. Freshly cooked and prepared in front of you.

Golden Dragon (Chinatown)

Golden Dragon is everything you want from a Chinatown restaurant. Fast, attentive service, great food, and a buzzing atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the table we had booked was ready for us straight away, and despite the restaurant being fast-paced and busy, we never once felt rushed. There were so many staff on hand that we never had to wait for anything—credit to the team for running such a slick operation.

We ordered the Oriental Set Menu, and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate a swap from beef to chicken for one of our party, which meant everyone could enjoy the full menu together. A thoughtful touch that really stood out, and one they were within their right to not need to accommodate.

The meal began with a comforting chicken and corn soup, before the array of mains arrived. The standout for me was the Sweet and Sour Pork which was perfectly balanced, crispy, and packed with flavour. My friends raved about the Stir-Fried Diced Chicken with Cashew Nuts and the Spicy Szechuan Prawns, both cooked to perfection. The duck dish was also excellent, rich and tender, and rounded off the meal beautifully.

Overall, Golden Dragon delivered a brilliant Chinatown dining experience being efficient yet friendly service, excellent food across the board, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be returning.

A faultless dining experience today...came here on a Thursday as part of a trip. We regularly dine in Chinatown but so far hadn't experienced this restaurant. Filled with lots of Chinese (always a good sign..no offence meant) . We ordered a large array of dim sum and 2 a la carte dishes. Food arrived super quick and was really good one of my favourite char su pork I have ever eaten. Staff were friendly attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend this venue for both seasoned and novice dim sum eaters.

Stopped in after the theater for something to eat. Large menu offering a great variety of food was good, not great. Was clear the staff wanted to go home even though there was still quite a crowd inside eating.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine in quite large portions. We had fish & tofu stew and shredded duck vermicelli soup, both were tasty and comforting
Edit: we came back for dim sum, and everything was wonderful. The egg pudding is a must try!
