Da Mario Covent Garden

Yummy yummy yummy! Had the seafood pasta and bread with olive oil and balsamic and was absolutely delicious. Definitely on the pricier and upscale vibe but such a lovely place for a nice dinner, date, or professional meeting. My limoncello spritz was also good. The service was amazing too!

A brilliant experience start to finish. The staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond. The food was 10/10, a very traditional Italian restaurant. Couldn’t recommend enough to anyone visiting the area. Thankyou!

Great food, good service! Apart from when we had to pay and the amount of money shown on the paying device was £143 instead of £56. It's a good thing my husband checked the sum on the device. Otherwise, it would have been a very expensive meal. We want to believe it was an honest mistake.  The staff were friendly and polite. The music on the speaker hanging from the tree was a nice touch.

This is a typical Italian restaurant located in a very Posh District of London. The prices are way above average, and the space inside is very little. Tables sit very close to each other, so you can hear what others are talking about. The food did not meet my expectations unfortunately. The service though is very attentive and fast. After 5 PM, there is a minimum order of a starter and a main dish. Keep this in mind.

We heard great things from reviews but da Mario restaurant in Covent Garden was above and beyond that. Entering we met Andrea who greeted us with a friendly handshake and made us feel at home. He gave us prosecco as we were celebrating our retirement.

The entire staff exceeded expectations and the food and drink as well as ambiance were all exceptional. We highly recommend you come to this Covent Garden gem. The staff and food will not let you down. Every table was enjoying themselves, as were we. We definitely will be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

The food was AMAZING!! Tasted and felt very authentic, from the meze to the mains and the lovely Greek service.

Taramasalata is a MUST — best we’ve ever had. Had the lamb chops and was delicious!

Only thing is it’s a small place so can get cramped and a bit loud. However still a great place to go for special occasions or any occasion really!

Great 2 course lunch special for £15. The mixed dips you can choose how ever many you want (fits a small plate). The meat moussaka was great.

Seems extreme to label all 5⭐️s but I had no plans to come here. I was meant to go across the street to another restaurant where I had a booking, peeked in here on the way over & ditched all plans. The food was phenomenal. I had a lamb shank which melted off the bone. We had a seafood starter and the haloumin which was grand. Nicholas was a gem. One of my fave nights in my new neighbourhood. 100% RECOMMEND!

Superior food and service. This restaurant is 5 stars plus! The shrimp appetizer, grilled swordfish steak special and Greek salad were all perfectly prepared and delicious! Such a great find in Camden that I asked for a reservation the next night as well.

Mr. White’s English Chophouse London Whitechapel

I went with a couple of friends on 12th Sept. The staff were really polite, patient and very helpful. The food was on point. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mash was absolutely delish! A relaxed vibe and a great place to visit with family or friends. Super easy to get to via public transport, only a 5 minute walk from Whitechapel station. Definitely plan on visiting again with the family.

We went there for our son’s birthday and what a wonderful choice it was! The menu is uncomplicated and the staff are friendly. There’s absolutely no compromise on taste and each dish was booked to perfection. Loved the béarnaise sauce! The Cheesecake with most moreish blueberries was a perfect end! Definitely going back for more.

We were 4, 3 of us celebrating our birthdays. So we decided to get us some good halal steak. The Chophouse popped up and the menu was very attractive.

Loved the vibe of the place and how well isolated it is from the hustle and bustle outside.

We had a reservation, the restaurant knew why we were coming. The initial impression was that the place was very clean and in prep mode for dinner service. We were seated promptly and were handed the menus as well. I liked that we were not rushed in making our choices for any of the drinks or courses. Kudos to the service for observing and being patient.

We got a few mocktails first and scanned the menu for our starters: calamari and camembert duos. Camembert slapped but calamari while crispy felt a bit light on the calamari. It would be good if the restaurant would go for a little bit thicker cut. I would pay a bit more for it if need be.

For the mains we shared a tomahawk with some garlic prawns and a selection of chips/fries and sauces.

Steak: Good size for our appetites but more aimed at being shared between 2 people I would say. We made up for it with the garlic prawns which were very well cooked, dressed and chef's kiss all around. Chunky chips and the fries were very very good as well. Highly rate. Sauces wise the bearnaise and garlic butter combo was my fav with the steak. Also, cute note: the ketchup & mayo pots!! Such a nice touch!

Dessert wise we went for sticky toffee pudding all round and that was the perfect end. Lighter than I'd expected and not too sweet. Really well balanced for my taste.

Overall, I would go here again for such group dinners as there are few great halal steak places around here and this is certainly a contender in the top 10 in London.

Just...more calamari plz.

First time trying this Whitechapel branch. Excellent cut of meats. Chose the mixed grill and the lamb chops were divine, so tender. Really loved the beef fillet and sirloin steak. The green beans are also good and the steak cut chips were fat & crispy. Our server was friendly and hospitable.

Sen Viet Vegan Restaurant

FANTASTIC VEGAN PLACE!

The absolute highlights for me were:
1. 15C Bun Cha President- I asked the lovely waiter for a recommendation and he suggested this one. It was superb 10/10!
2. Crispy Pancake- The filling combined with the light, crunchy pancake was incredible. Highly recommend this!
3. Fried Rice (side) I saw a previous review mention how good this was so I had to try it. They were right, it’s super flavoursome- I ate it on its own!
4. Sierra Yogurt Smoothie was my favourite drink of the night. Creamy, refreshing and delicious.

Honestly, everything I tried was great, but these are my must haves! The food is fresh and satisfying, you leave feeling full but not heavy.
I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

What a lovely place I stumbled across by chance! Really nice and quiet atmosphere. Very hospitable and great service. The food was great! Great location just around the corner from the Museum of the Home. I was in the area for a week long training session for work and kept going back here for lunch everyday. It was really good Vegan food and gluten is clearly labelled on the menu which is great!

Last Friday night, we were craving Vietnamese food after work and found Sen Viet Vegan Restaurant through a quick Google search. With a high 4.8 rating, we decided to give it a try—without realising at first that it was fully vegan.

Once seated and looking through the menu, we noticed everything was plant-based. We figured it might be a good opportunity to enjoy a lighter meal and do a little detox. We ordered the vegan spring rolls, fried noodles, and a stir-fried vegetable dish. All the dishes were flavourful and well-prepared, and for a vegan restaurant, the taste did not disappoint.

However, shortly after we returned home, we both began feeling extremely thirsty—and that feeling lasted the entire night. This left us concerned that the food may have contained a significant amount of MSG, which was quite disappointing after what initially felt like a healthy, light meal.

While the taste was good and we might have recommended it to friends looking for vegan options, the after-effect changed our minds. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return due to this experience.

This restaurant is a special place! It is a simple, carefully curated space, which is exactly what I love!
The food was exceptionally good and the staff was so friendly and patient with me. I asked them so many questions and took such a long time deciding what to order and they were nothing but lovely!
In the end I chose a green curry with banana and it was very delicious!
Even the tea I had was really good. On top, the price was less than what I paid in other restaurants!
