The menu was expansive and if you're like us and you're not sure what to order, go for the 'Feasting Menu'. It says it's for two but we could share two sets amongst 5 of us, 3 below 15 years old. The highlight for us were the vegetarian options such as the Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito. The sweet potato was baked and the insides were creamy and sweet. Topped with feta cheese, tomatoes and a mixture of sauces (I have no idea what!) and they just go so well. The Beet Tartare Tostadas was also a splendid surprise. Buttermilk Chicken Tacos and Grilled Brindisa Chorizo Quesadilla were our faves as well. Just make sure that you make reservations on their website. We were there on a Friday evening and I heard that it was an hour wait if you walk-in.
I can’t recommend Wuhaca in Covent Garden enough. As someone who lives for great vegetarian and vegan food, I found myself returning at least once a day just to try more of their incredible dishes -each one bursting with creativity and flavour. What makes the experience even better is the team who works there. The staff aren’t just friendly; they’re vibrant, caring, and they clearly enjoy working together, which creates an atmosphere that’s uplifting to be around. By the time you leave, you don’t just feel like a customer- you feel hugged, held, and genuinely cared for. Wuhaca is more than a restaurant; it’s a place where good food and good people come together in the best way.
We recently celebrated my brother’s birthday at Wahaca, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Even though we arrived without a reservation at 18:30 on August 27th, the hostess greeted us warmly and ensured we were comfortable throughout the evening. The vibrant atmosphere and delicious Mexican cuisine made our meal truly memorable. The staff’s friendly service, especially our hostess, made the occasion special—we hope she knows how much we appreciated her help.
The exterior looks great and makes you definitely want to see inside. I had the chicken burrito and it was delicious. It had a nice atmosphere but it was very loud yet still easy to talk. The main complaint was that the waiter was a bit rude and impatient.
Wahaca is truly Mexican hitting the right spice levels making for a satisfying gastronomic experience. Big shout out to Paulina for making this a delicious and memorable meal for us. Thank you 🙏. The corona was served ice cold. We requested Paulina to suggest vegetarian options and I’m glad we asked her. The summer veggie set menu came with cactus and courgette tacos, black bean quesadilla, beet root tostada, sweet potato taquito, crispy cauliflower, halloumi taco and avocado and cos salad. This is amazing value for money considering the deliciousness of the food and location.
