Wah Bey in Ilford is a real treat! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch – attentive and friendly. But the real stars of the show were the dishes. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb chops were perfectly grilled and succulent, and the lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavour. Every dish was incredibly tasty. I'd highly recommend Wah Bey to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Ilford.
We booked a private dining area on the lower ground floor for an intimate graduation celebration and the service and food was outstanding! We ordered a few tawa grills which was absolutely delicious 10/10 and some biriyanis. The grills were cooked to perfection, tender and flavourful and the lamb chops was the best. With all honesty, the food was the best Pakistani food we’ve had at a restaurant. The private dining area is beautiful itself and perfect for private functions. All the staff including manager Sarwar and the waitresses provided the best service. Thank you for a memorable evening.
THE BEST FOOD IN EAST LONDON! Honestly I have tried Zamana, Saffron Kitchen, Sahara Grill, Black Lotus you name around Gants Hill and all of east London but nothing could top Wahbey! Thee most authentic Pakistani food you can get, so fresh and tasty! The portion size was insane! I recommend the mixed grill! My family and I were served my Khalid and the service was remarkable! I have officially found my favourite spot! P.s I have always got wahbey through uber eats again never seem to fail with their whole chicken!
We recently celebrated my granddaughter’s 18th birthday at Wah Bey in Ilford with 43 guests, and it was absolutely wonderful! The space was ample and comfortable for a large group, the service was excellent throughout, and the food was delicious. Talha and Khalid were great, service was great by Nawaz and Lakshika. Despite the big number of guests, everything was served promptly and with care. We ordered six platters, and every dish was enjoyed by everyone at the table. The staff really went above and beyond to make the evening special. I highly recommend Wah Bey to anyone looking for a great restaurant for family gatherings, celebrations, or just a lovely meal out.
Wahbey rarely disappoints, but this time it did. We have visited Wahbey many times and have always left impressed, the flavours, service, and overall experience have consistently made it a restaurant we recommend wholeheartedly. However, on our most recent visit, the dishes didn’t quite capture the same depth and vibrancy of flavour we’ve come to expect, which was a little disappointing. That said, with so many wonderful meals enjoyed here in the past, we still hold Wahbey in high regard and hope to see the kitchen return to its usual excellence.
