The location was quite easy to find, despite some conflicting reviews. They mentioned being out of stock for cocktails, which was disappointing since they had just opened. My friend and I ordered the adobo wings and lumpia, both of which were very well-seasoned and tasty. For our main courses, I had the crispy honey garlic chicken with rice, while my friend chose the crispy pork with rice. When the food arrived, I was immediately struck by the tiny portion of the crispy pork dish. The pork looked incredibly dry, and my friend, who tried it, found it too hard and painful to eat, so she had to send it back to the kitchen to order something else. The honey garlic chicken was okay, but it wasn’t as well-seasoned as I would have liked. I managed to finish it, though. During our visit, we were also surprised to see two guys set up to sing, which made it difficult for us to hear each other across the table. Overall, I had a mixed experience. The wings and lumpia were delicious, but the rest of the food was disappointing. I don’t think I’ll be returning for anything, other than the wings for takeaway.
Tilaw was recommended by a friend for us to try their catering service for our wedding day and so we did. It did not dissappoint us. The food was great and the team really go beyond to deliver their service. Price per head was also reasonable. Everyone went home with a happy tummy after the event. Communicating with them was also easy and they will really try their best to cater your request. Highly recommended!
My first time to eat here.everything was very nice from the friendly staff and service to the lovely fresh cooking. I ordered lechon kawali and a coke.beautiful food and very filling..I was hoping to have dessert but I was full on one course..shall have to return another day.salamat for a very nice lunchtime. 🙏 and great value to. Back today for lechon kawaii, very nice, had the chicken skin nachos to,good value and friendly service..31/7/25.
We were excited to try Tilaw for the first time and even traveled an hour to get there. Since it was our first visit we were confused at first because the door sign said “Closed” which made us hesitate even though we could see staff and guests inside. So I went near the door to ask and we went it. My husband asked me "is this how Filipino restaurant operates?" since the girl working there was not welcoming the moment we enter. Still we tried to enjoy our date. The food itself was very good the crispy pork belly definitely satisfied my cravings! Unfortunately there was no soup available that day. I also had to ask the staff if one of the dishes contained pork since my husband doesn’t eat it, but she seemed unsure. It turned out to be sweet and sour fish. I understand she might have been tired but as front-of-house staff a warm welcome, a smile, and clearer communication would have made the experience much better. Overall, the food was enjoyable but desserts were served quite late. Hopefully next time the service experience matches the quality of the dishes. Thank you for the great food!
We woke up so early since we live in London to try their Saturday breakfast buffet in Romford. The price was £12.49 which was really good and affordable. And oh man the price was super worth it because the food that were on the buffet were so tasty! The beef tapa was delightful. The longganisa was really good too. The hotdog which looks like Tender Juicy hotdog was surprisingly very good. It was as if you were eating the real TJ hotdog. The pork tocino was also flavourful, like it was marinated and seasoned well! Generally, our experience was amazingly pleasant with their breakfast buffet. One thing I could say for improvement is that maybe do not advertise food that will not be there on the buffet. I remember the ads said they were meant to have Champorado but it was not actually there when we ate. But otherwise, hands down to the chef who made and cooked all the food. Will surely recommend this and come back again! 😁
