Ross and the team at The Hogless Roast catered for our wedding this year, and they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The liaison was really smooth and hassle-free, they made things as easy as possible, liaising with the venue for us so we could completely relax about everything, and all we had to do was choose the delicious food. The team were so lovely, and a real pleasure to have as part of our wedding day - very friendly, helpful, and kind to all our guests. The food was absolutely awesome! So many of our guests commented on it, and a lot for whom vegan food was an uttery alien concept stating it was "the best wedding food ever!" Certainly a lot of minds changed about what they could expect from vegan food, which really made us smile as a vegan couple. And when your guests include some retired animal farmers, an entire fire watch, and a mass of people with multiple different food issues - a huge win full stop! Cannot recommend highly enough, the team and the food were total stars. Just wish we could do it every year!
I had the fries and the Hogless burger. The burger on its own is ideal if you are not really hungry but if you are, better get a side dish. The fries are like smashed potatoes balls, they were really nice. There is plenty of seating, shared with the other food venues. Some of the seating area is covered.
Phwoar, look at this sexy beast! Double vegan cheeseburger with paprika fries. I got this before watching Knocked Loose at Outbreak festival. I asked the server if she recommended the double cheeseburger, she said yes but get fries. So being easily led, I did. It was fantastic. Great service. Great burgers.
Wowowow. Ordered the Hogless Roast Burger, Smash Burger and the plant based nuggets. 10/10 everything. The Hogless Roast Burger truly is faultless and incredibly flavoursome- I just wish I had another one. This is now my new favourite vegan spot. I need to try everything on the menu now. (I forgot to take a picture of the burgers but had some nuggets left.)
Genuinely incredible food. I had the hogless burger and it is hands-down the best vegan or non-vegan burger I’ve ever had. So moist, rich, juicy and delicious. I also had the beef brisket loaded fries and couldn’t believe how meaty the beef was. One of those moments you have to double-check that it really is vegan! But, rest assured - it is. Thanks for a great experience and I can’t wait to visit again!
