I have been here a fair few times and the food is always excellent, plenty of healthier options on the menu too which isn't a given in this area. Service is friendly and efficient. Pictured: Sizzling Salmon

I’ve visited this place a handful of times and each time I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the food. Each visit I aim to try a different dish, to get a real insight into what Filipino cuisine is like having not come across it before I moved into the borough. Today was no exception, I opted to try one of the daily specials: Pork Humba. It was a delicious dish of fatty pork belly, with black beans, banana blossom in a sweet and savoury soy sauce, served with steamed rice. Delicious. My previous visits have seen my try the Chicken adobo, Kare Kare and up until today my favourite the Caldereta. The condiment table is always worth a visit with pots of homemade chilli oil and a vinegary onion sauce that helps to cut through the rich dishes. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is an unassuming cafe usually frequented by a mix of locals as well as international visitors looking for a tasty affordable lunch with decent sized portions. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Romford and looking for something tasty, comforting and different to the usual fry up cafes and fast food restaurants scattered around the Romford Market area.

First time dining here with my boyfriend as it was the closest Filipino restaurant for us without going into central London. Location-wise it was easy to find and there’s a multi-storey parking nearby to park your car. When it came to food, we had lechon kawali, bulaklak, and crispy pata. Overall, the food is great, home cooked feel and the restaurant atmosphere was relaxed. It felt like I was eating at an authentic Filipino carinderia. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our food here and will definitely be back again. It’s such a shame we didn’t get to try the desserts but we were so full from our mains! I’d definitely recommend this Filipino restaurant as it so simple but the food is amazing.

I recently visited this small Filipino restaurant in Romford Shopping Hall for the second time but both visits were disappointing. The food lacked quality and flavor. The noodle soup was bland, the BBQ pork was excessively sweet and the herbal tea was just a basic tea bag in hot water—far from what I expected. The only redeeming item was the iced tea which was decent. The service didn’t improve the experience either. When we asked for a takeaway box, we were told it cost 30p. Without exact change, we handed over 50p but never received the difference. While the amount is minor, the lack of customer care or a simple gesture to waive the fee left a bad impression. Overall, it was an unsatisfactory experience.

Don’t trust the reviews they use their own people to review!!! These Cheating cons! They tried to over charge me, when they actually charged my partner extra £1.50 for adding Extra meat and £7 for me!!! When I had received my tapas I looked at the quantity and it doesn’t seem like how I am used to have it, so I went to the till and asked the lady to pay extra for more meat. - they “owner” intervened and said: it will be £7 !! I’ve asked why my partner paid £1.50 only? She said because it’s tapas extra and I’m ordering a portion, but when I added the extra egg it was only £1. - many times in the past they were okay with it and they would just charge £1.50 and add the extra but she wanted £7??? For extra 4 pieces of meat!!? I can buy a kilo of meat for £7. I’ve been a customer for over 7 years and this never happened. No customer service. Not nice also food has gone down in Taste. Whilst this doesn’t make sense, I want to remind you it’s also against the law to charge something off the menu all prices have to be listed on the menu by law! The menu does not mention £7 neither £1.
