We continue to see new breakfast joints in East London emerging in 2020. This place should definitely be in you check list of Brunch joints to visit in EL. Customer service was exceptional and the food was ready with in minutes. Presentation of the food was simple and beautiful. Will be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Customer service was good. The brothers are all very friendly. The food, although it looked great, was very basic. No spice or kick to it (even though they were supposed to be hot). The mince meat (in my opinion) was not seasoned well and the hot dog sausage also tasted bland. I couldn't finish the hot dog because it was so distasteful, so I swapped with my partner for his burger. The burger was much better, however, still VERY basic. We also ordered muddy chips, but as I previously said, I did NOT like the mince, so I scraped it all off. They had a great deal on for their iftar menu. So it was all worth the price. It wasn't busy, with only 3 tables being occupied. However, my husband and I were the only couple, and as they weren't busy, suggested that they split up all the customers. They moved one group down a table, however, there was a very noisy group a (hands space) table away. So our request to be moved away from others, wasn't met. I believe this group were friends of the owners or workers, as one brother who greeted us on arrival, joined them at Iftar time. The girls were just gossiping and swearing so much, and with Nasheeds playing in the background and most people fasting, this was not nice to be next to. A brother (from that group) brought a bag full of homemade food with him, and kept forcing my husband to eat some. He wouldn't take no for an answer and was placing food on his plate. The gesture was lovely, but i found it very rude, especially as we just wanted one quiet meal out, for iftar. It was very clear we were uncomfortable and wanted to leave asap. As soon as we finished our food, we didn't wait around and just left. 3* is for the lovely brothers serving our food and the burger, which was ok.
Excellent food, Great Service and an Amazing atmosphere. We had a lovely time at Purpleish, celebrating a friends birthday. We had some food and sheesha in their garden, the food was finger licking (I had the wings and chilli chips). The Mojitos are to die for! We felt so comfortable the time just flew and we hadn't realised it was past all our bedtimes lol. Zak and Saf were so friendly and helpful we are even planning on going back for another friends birthday (Thank you for the private booking :D) All this and 50% off too was just the icing on the cake!
I come here regularly and it’s such a nice atmosphere! The burgers and rustic chips are tasty and grilled wings are to die for! This place is very homely with comfy sofas and pretty lights. There are outdoor heaters and blankets to stay cozy on cold evenings. The workers here are lovely and provide amazing customer service. I Would definitely recommend!!
Nice cosy place with good food and good shisha.
