Every time my family and I travel, we’re lucky enough to be served by Tina and she never fails to impress. She’s warm, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we board. What stands out most is how well she knows her job she is knowledgeable about the food and service, always ready with helpful recommendations, and remembers our preferences without us even asking. Her combination of expertise, efficiency, and personal care turns a simple journey into an enjoyable experience. Tina is a credit to her team and a big reason we always look forward to experience here.
Had dinner with work colleagues. I would say it's ok. The food wasn't bad but it was a mixed bag, the steak was good but had an interesting butter in it and nothing encouraging me to return. The risotto looked more like soup but tasted ok. The pasta was a relatively small portion. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere pleasant and inviting, and the wine good. Don't regret going, but equally not eager to return.
Discover by recommendation 📍 was a memorable experience. 🤍 We started with delicious burrata and arancini, which set the tone for the evening. The highlight was the steak with some sides that was more than enough with 1 kg , juicy and cooked to perfection. The staff, especially Sam and Tina, provided attentive service in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Luca Cafe for special occasions, conveniently located near Enoteca da Luca. This will be my place for steak from now on 🥹 Love it, definitely I will come back ✨
We came to Luca after trying to go to the Humble Grape down the road but we had booked the Fleet St branch by mistake. That was our downfall. Service was excellent. But the food was well below average. We have still not got over a bill of £173 for 3 of us for 2 starters, 3 mains, 2 cocktails, one wine and one soft drink. Very much a big waste of money for such a poor meal. The arancini came and the rice was raw so it felt like chewing grit. We complained to the wonderful waitress and she took it away and asked if we wanted to order something else. We ordered the calamari which was fine but the dip was so sweet. We get calamari a lot and this dip was definitely wrong! I had the chicken schwarma and it was sweet too! My daughter had the steak plus a side of broccoli but this was on a bed of puree which was so sweet too! So most of this £8 side dish got left. The waitress was good enough to confirm back to us that the arancini rice was raw and said that the chef was new. Maybe this chef also loves to put sugar in all the dishes. It was one of those meals where you have complained once and then all the other problems don't feel bad enough to complain about because the food is still edible, but you then leave with a bad taste in your mouth.
A cosy and pleasant atmosphere, with friendly staff who pay attention to every detail, making you feel great about being there. However, what is truly special is the food. The authentic menu clearly reflects the chef's experiences and adventures, combining ingredients from all over the world to create dishes that are true explosions of flavour—not something you can find just anywhere. The care taken with the presentation also makes the whole experience unforgettable. Every bite will leave you speechless. I will keep coming back and can't wait to be surprised by next season's menu. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in London.
