We visited this restaurant for late lunch. Maybe we expected to much. Every food was good (like diet version) but nothing impresive. Wakame was served plain, asparagus without any spices..we were missing some extra taste🙃they have only one GF meal- it was nice and yummy.

ambience and authenticity, super awesome japanese spot with soothy katsu curry w pickle and perfectly crisp karaage, and the ko udon was unexpectedly spicy but still fresh and delicious, had lemonade and the seasonal tea was fizzy cold and refreshing

If this place was 15-20% cheaper, it would be a dream. In fact I’d be here twice a month. The vegan donburi was absolutely fine, tasty, plenty of rice. Nothing special at all. No garnish really. Nothing beyond the obvious. For £19 I had half a beer, rice and 3 bits of courgette with some tofu. It’s my fault for being on Broadway Market, but there are some reasonably priced outlets. It’s self service with a touchscreen so it feels particularly dissonant in this pricey derelicte surround. Last time I ordered with one of those was McDonald’s. The problem partly is the old vegan gouge, charging me same price for about 40p of ingredients. It’s not on really. And it was mostly empty on this Monday eve, when for say £12 instead of £16, they’d probably have the place rammed on a weeknight. Shame.

These homemade Udons! ❤️ The cold meaty xo udon is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! Very authentic Japanese place, with the service and overwhelmingness of choices to match. Donburi is amazing as well.

Nice place but wasn’t blown away! Got the classic udon noodles with prawn tempura. It tasted so plain but I loved how big the tempura was! A dipping sauce is really needed. My partner got the spicy udon with fried fish - a lot more flavourful 😊 For sides we got a salad which was so average and the chicken karage, the crispy parts were very good but some parts weren’t. Overall I’m glad I tried and the vibes are nice! Probably wouldn’t go back again as there’s more udon places out there to try :) thank you!
