As a Bengali girl living away from home, I’m always on the lookout for places that truly capture the flavours of Bangladesh, and this restaurant absolutely delivered! I tried their kacchi biriyani and khichuri, and both were simply wonderful. The biriyani was fragrant, rich and perfectly spiced, just like the kind we enjoy back home on special occasions. The khichuri was hearty and comforting, with that authentic homely taste you can’t fake. But the real star for me was the fuska. Every Bengali girl knows how special fuska is, and this one instantly transported me to the bustling streets of Dhaka. The crisp shells, the tangy filling, and the spicy, flavourful water were spot on, it felt like I was right back in Bangladesh enjoying it with friends. If you’re craving genuine Bengali flavours, this place is a must visit. It’s more than just food, it’s a little taste of home.
I frequently visit here if I am in London, and this place never disappointed me so far. The staff are polite. Tried their kacchi today, and shout out to the lady server who recommended that one to us, it was lovely. Nice cool running Bengali musics will definitely make you nostalgic! I know you don't add service charge, but do a little check back please if you can (Your food can't go wrong, but as a regular guest it's my suggestion). Hope to visit you soon.
Wow, Kolapata totally blew me away! The food was amazing, like, seriously delicious. Every single dish tasted like it was made with love, you know, full of those real, comforting flavors. It's hard to find a place that nails both the taste and the feeling. And the service? Incredible! The staff were so friendly and made me feel right at home. If you're looking for some good Bnagla food or just a great meal, you HAVE to check it out. Seriously recommend it, I'm definitely going back!
Brought my wife for the first time in a Bangladeshi restaurant in London. And she was wowed by the quality and flavor of the food. To start with we took fuchka, my wife loved it so much. And for the main we took bhorta platter, rupchada fry, Ilish fry, Sorshe Ilish, Beef bhuna, lamb kabab, regular boiled rice, polao rice. And finally we finish it off with firni. Alongside the food itself, the ambience and environment of the restaurant is quite nice. The staffs were very polite and well behaved. We hope to come visit this place again.
Went with a group of 16 (including me)- 15 were non-Bangladeshi friends and everyone loved everything about Kolapata 🫶. The ambience was warm and lively, and the team handled our big table with genuine care. We started with chicken tikka and warm naan- just fabulous: juicy, smoky tikka and soft. For mains we shared beef, lamb, and king prawn curries with white rice; every dish was fresh, well-spiced, and delish. Desserts were fantastic across the board. We all left happy and full! Would happily return with friends and families inshaAllah.
