Having had good experiences at E20 previously, we thought it was time for another visit. This is such an underrated restaurant! It is really competitively priced. A la carte offers good value, and the set menus are an absolute steal. My chaps suggested Five Guys after bowling, but I persuaded them to eat properly! We each had a main: Octopus 🐙 Lamb and asparagus Prawn Linguine A lovely bottle of Viognier converted someone who "doesn't like floral whites". . We ate late, around 9.45. Front of house staff were the perfect blend of polish and warmth. I was really impressed by the service. Food was great. Presentation was mostly gorgeous and the dishes were well thought-out and balanced. Chef got his colour combinations just right. Perhaps adding a little more depth to the dishes would be welcome. In particular the lamb would be improved by a busier plate. A shame, as the meat was delicious but looked a little lost on the plate. Highly recommend tucking into East London doing fairly fine dine, and doing it very well. Kudos to the Chef, he is extremely talented. Keep up the good work.
We have come here quite a few times for lunch and supper. They have a really great chicken and leek pie on their winter menu that you should really try we really enjoy and the salads they do in the summer. The chef, Adam, does a very good job. Thank you also to Ashley, Lina, Pavel, Cristina and it is great to have Laura and Lewis look after us.
Not great overall. The place looks amazing, very fancy. We sat outside which was a lovely atmosphere with the heaters, the seating was comfortable as well. But then we had to wait over an hour for our food, there was a mistake with our order and we would’ve never received it if we didn’t say anything. The pizzas were standard nothing special at all but the triple cooked chips were amazing. To be fair they gave us a full refund including our drinks which was appreciated after our wait.
The veggie breakfast was nice and the fruit selection and multiple juices was what I needed. But for 20 quid, the price is abit steep. I think if portions were larger and buffet had more selection it would be great. The staff were amazing though and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Great ambience and place to go for happy hour drinks (til 7pm) and oysters on a Wednesday (£1.50). Sadly the pizza oven was broken, so we couldn’t have pizza. Special thanks to Ingrid the manager who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and Lewis the waiter.
