Discovered this restaurant randomly while walking along Portobello road with my husband and can’t say I was disappointed. We walked in on a weekday afternoon and the place was relatively packed. Staff were very warm and friendly. Lots of vegetarian options, food was delicious and you could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Excellent for a date or a business lunch!
Each dish showcased impressive detail, variety and complexity, though a couple felt like they were missing something but overall very tasty. Service was great, wonderful decor inside with decent music in the background which we didn’t expect. The vibe was great.
Gold Notting Hill delivers a memorable meal in a beautiful setting. The ricotta toast was light and flavorful, the sweet potatoes packed with depth, and the pastas—the veal tortelloni and ricotta ravioli—were both refined and delicious. The space itself is stylish yet welcoming, making it a spot I’d happily return to
Overall great food and lovely service. Wait staff were super helpful and honest re portion sizes etc. The burrata salad was great, the hispi cabbage is really different and grows on you as you progress through the meal. The sauce served with the squid is also very good. Nice mocktail options too. Lovely bathroom & overall environment.
We had a very nice dinner here. We sat upstairs, which felt more intimate and relaxed than the buzzy ground floor. Shared three starters - sweet potatoes, ricotta with sourdough, and a feta salad - all fresh and well-balanced. Mains were equally solid: the steak with aubergine sauce was rich and satisfying, and the sea bream was cooked just right. Only letdown was the cocktail, which didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Quietly rated: worth stopping.
