Came here after a long day of walking in London for dinner. Stumbled upon this restaurant and had dinner. They admired our 7:30pm deadline to Adelphi Theatre, and helped us pick a good quick meal. We had the pork, salmon, 2 coconut soups (strongly recommended) and chips. It took 25 minutes for our food to get here, and for a restaurant that was not that empty, it was very pleasant. Prices are a little above average but the benefits outweigh the cons. Definitely worth visiting and will come back if i go to london again.
We were in town for some wedding shopping and stumbled cross this charming little bistro, so made a booking to return for lunch The place is small, but you don’t feel like you are sitting on top of other guest. The food was simply outstanding and who knew marmite butter could taste so good. The service started well with attentive front of house staff but as the meal progressed, became slow and at times we felt ignored. This was disappointing given the place was not busy. At one point we had to ask for empty plates to be removed
Very nice and generous Sunday beef roast, the fish was also very good, just very small portion, the potato was very good and the coffee was also very good. They made a nice chocolate thick mousse stuff for birthday celebration which was very nice touch and very tasty, overall would definitely recommend it!
We had the sunday roast and it was heavenly. Worth it 100%. The chips were crunchy, the cauliflower cheese so cheesy. The service was really good too. They don’t have a kids menu but they tried there best to accommodate my daughter by offering half a roast.
Very enjoyable supper in a lovely room with stylish cocktails and food you really want to eat. The team were charming and we chatted about the courtesan Cora Pearl. Standout food was the cheese and ham toastie starter and the chips, which were recommended as ‘the best on London’ they were scrumptious and outrageously decadent ( reminded me of the Quality Chop House’s legendary chips) there is a set supper for pre theatre. Our cocktails were delicious and we split a carafe of dry Riesling. Lots of nice touches.
