Nice food. Some dishes were over salty. I ordered 3 non-alcoholic drinks to rinse my palette in addition to water. The lamb in the main dish was rather too small to properly taste and enjoy. In general, the design of the tasting menu was good though, but the saltiness was probably due to the prepared sauce and ingredients getting too condensed when re-heated. The chef should have easily resolved the problem by testing and tasting while cooking and before serving from time to time.
We had a private experience for a friends 30th. We were looked after so well and the food was absolutely remarkable. I would also say it was playful and exciting with the flavours. It’s a seasonal menu so depending when you you might have totally different options. I’d recommend the orange wine and white wines. It was an unforgettable evening and the team and chefs are so professional. Would love to go back if my purse can handle it!
Came for dinner with two friends and everything about our experience was perfect. The staff were incredible friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant its self is so beautiful and the open kitchen is such a lovely experience to watch the chef cook away! The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish I was blown away, It’s a set menu and each course was different and so interesting! The wine list is incredible and the homemade kombucha is something special, Highly recommend to everyone !
I wasn’t overly amazed by the food and felt that a few dishes were a little too salty and had clashing flavours. The kitchen was kind enough to cater to a vegetarian diner that was part of our party, and made a different set menu for them (we informed/asked them in advance about this). The atmosphere was quite nice. The open kitchen and fact that it’s tucked away on a random street in Hackney sets the scene for a relaxed setting.
Have been wanting to try this place for ages and keep putting it off because of where it is located. We were both really impressed about the tasting menu, very innovative cuisine with combination of flavors that we haven’t tried before. The sichuan peppercorn pasta gives a subtle kick while compliments the rest really well. Great value tasting menu (even more shocked to find services already included). Decent wine list. The menu changes often so we can’t wait to be back.
