Absolutely outstanding. Loved every second of our experience here - food is divine, menu put together beautifully. The fusion of japanese and italian was a dream come true. Every dish was delicious and the service was amazing - staff were so attentive. Wine also paired and presented beautifully. My friend had the regular menu while I had the vegetarian and I was honestly amazed at how beautiful it all was and how attentive they were to this too! We sat at the chefs counter and it was such a great experience to watch food being prepared. Such a cosy interior too with comfortable seating. Will definitely be coming back & highly recommend.

Overall, our dining experience was ok, but several aspects could be improved to bring it in line with the standards expected of a fine dining establishment and improve the value for the ££££. 1. Temperature of Dishes: A few dishes were not served at the optimal temperature. The Wagyu beef, in particular, arrived lukewarm, and the bread was served cold, which diminished the enjoyment of what should have been standout moments in the meal. 2. Order of Service: The sequence of dishes felt somewhat confusing. For instance, the Wagyu dish might have been better placed before or alongside the main course rather than being a 2nd dish. A more coherent flow between courses would create a smoother and more balanced dining experience. 3. Wine Pairing: While we appreciated the effort to pair wines with different courses, service coordination fell short. At one point, the wine intended for the main tuna dish was delayed, leaving us waiting while the dish cooled. Timeliness here is essential to maintaining both flavor and flow. 4. Starters and Desserts: The starters, though clearly made with fresh ingredients, lacked depth and strong flavor. The desserts were particularly underwhelming — the tiramisu, for example, felt one-dimensional and uninspired. The restaurant would greatly benefit from working with a dedicated dessert chef to develop more inventive flavor combinations and refined takes on classic Japanese or Italian sweets. 5. Service Charge: Finally, it was disappointing to see a 15% service charge automatically added to the bill. While the service was good, it did not reach the level of attentiveness and polish that would justify such a substantial, non-optional charge — particularly in a fine dining setting, where guests expect both excellence and transparency. The restaurant has great potential — beautiful presentation, high-quality ingredients, and an appealing concept of Italian Japanese fusion. With more attention to temperature, course sequencing, wine service, and menu refinement, alongside a more considered approach to service charges, the overall experience could easily reach the exceptional standard it aspires to.

Sophisticated fine dining venue that works beautifully for special occasions, even with larger groups. The tasting menu cleverly weaves Asian aromatics into Italian foundations. Cocktails and tea service bookend the meal nicely. The smoked focaccia and strawberry-sauced raw fish were our evening's highlights - creative and expertly executed. The pasta course was excellent, though the grilled quail felt somewhat predictable for this calibre of menu. One of the starters being another fried item seemed like a missed opportunity for more variety. For the price point, it delivers solid value and a memorable experience. Staff are exceptional - knowledgeable about every dish and genuinely passionate. Arrive early and you might snag counter seats with kitchen views, which adds to the experience.

It was our first tasting-menu experience and it was mind blowing. Both the food and the wine pairing were absolutely outstanding. The staff was very professional, friendly and detail-oriented. The 13 dishes menu was outstanding, discovering new flavours with each bite, and the explanations from the staff were excellent. We were on the dinning room, on a corner that was quite private for ourselves so we could have a nice conversation in a very comfortable environment. We were celebrating an important occasion and we got a wine glass on the house and some candles with the dessert course. They treated us very well, we will always remember it!

2pax dinner on 25.7.2025 @Angelina Restaurant came with good expectations japanese italian omakase 13dishes £68pax the place was packed, always a good thing. F&B a tough business, always good to see support of customers. service by the young, cheerful, bright serving staff was excellent. for ourselves though, went away kind of unsatisfied…. 3 appertisers - a bread, a lamb karraage, furai fritters etc.. ok, competent not quite fine dining dishes..ok, need reset expectations vs the price. crudo and pane - foccacia good, amadai good sashimi, sweet and fresh, sauce neither here nor there not quite our liking, a simple truffle kampachi type would be better for us. summer salad ordinary, sesame sauce heavy, ok not great by our preference. chawanmushi has good hotate (scallops) and truffle, competent texture, for us missing the natural broth sweetness in most jap restaurants. chawanmushi served in a completely chipped ramekin 体无完肤. the ravioli? was good, great pasta, good sauce. pigeon sous vide grilled on binchotan best dish, excellent taste and perfect texture, pink and nice bbq flavours. sauce was rich, tasty, not sure the best match for the pigeon. tiny shrimps ok doesn’t add any dimension to the dish? confit fig was good. desserts/petit four pretty good.
